New Superman feats in Action Comics #1050
20221229_101211.png
It was trending alot but its been long since I read action comics, so I will find time and binge all from where I stopped.

I already knew post-rebirth superman would be more powerful or most people knew since Joshua Williamson is the writer.

So can somebody give a wider context to what Superman was doing there please?

He made a portal after Luthor bfred him to Canis Major and dismatled the warsuit with a touch. He also seems to be way stronger than before as he was casually manhandling Luthor before he was bfred. Also, created some sort of red lightning.

Okay. So Post-Rebirth Superman should be upgraded to "At least 4-B" and have portal creation added to his abilities then?

He said his current body and mind are stronger than every before, I could say since he made this statement after having one history with pre-crisis now he could be tier 2 like pre crisis, but let's see more in the future.

Yeah. There seems to be a Superman crisis. Though, Jon would participate rather than Clark I guess.

The author (PKJ) said he wanted to bring back Silver Age powers, such as time travel, though I'm not sure if he's directly said they'll be at the same power level.

We'll have to see a bit more before making the new key, but I definitely think he deserves it, there's over 5 statements from it from across the comics themselves, author statements, DC comic descriptions, etc. He also easily defeated Kalibak recently and implied Orion couldn't defeat hin, so he's already showing he's above some of the characters we rate as 4-B.

Yeah. Him being above "herald" tier is a given. He was easily handling both Orion and Kalibak.

Marvel "heralds" and DC "heralds" apparently have very different degrees of power, and I think that the term sounds kind of dumb to start with, so probably not.

They are both more or less in similar level. So, the term gets used mostly because of Galactus' heralds.

Marvel "heralds" currently seem to have raw power feats of a much higher scale though, but @Eficiente may be in the process of debunking them, so a downgrade revision may become necessary.

Its mostly due to the "hyperbolic" shaking feats looking at the profiles though. I am not sure why they even passed the calculation revision. While I am no expert in such a field but I would assume supposed "Galactic level" earthquakes would cause actual damages. But it doesn't even destroy a nearby ship or cause Thor and others to stumble. I think there should be a more stricter evaluation for such things. Not just for Marvel but others too regarding all these "shakings".

I suppose that may be a valid point, but am not certain.

So many of the links in the profile are just bad in Thor's profile ngl. The Galactus feat, again another shaking feat, I don't think the Nine Realms were Universal in World Engine but whatever. The life bomb feat is weird. Thor dies and is restored by Death not sure why its even listed as a feat. Will have to reread Thor I guess.

Anyway, I should stop derailing with Marvel stuff.

Asgard is the size of USA city according to the comics .

Its dependent upon the writer and what you mean by "Asgard". Few writers have the entirety of the dimension containing planets and stars but its not "Asgard" I will say. Just as how the entirety of the Milky Way and such isn't "Midgard". The only official map I have seen, in a World Engine collection, has Asgard as 100 miles in width. Really dependent upon what you're looking for.

Yup . we have seen Odin busting galaxies inside the realm of asgard

The orrey houses the Multiverse created by perpetua which includes all the innumerable higher dimensions . COIE AM would be high 1b or 1b based on it .
The orrey of world does NOT encompass all higher dimensions, specially when the godsphere, monitor sphere and source wall (edge of creation) are higher spatial dimensions.

Which scan of "innumerable" higher dimensions do you speak of? And can you prove it applies to Snyder's cosmology?

I don't think we have.

The innumerable thing is from N52. Why would the Crisis scale to it?

Anyway, I have been wondering how the Cosmology split affects minor cosmological figures like the New Gods and how many splits will the Cosmology have.

I'm a bit confused on PC Trigon's tiering. It's based off two things, off-screen feats in an alternate future, and the statement Monitor makes. The former seems odd considering we have no idea how he did it, and we never use alternate futures. The latter also seems odd, considering the statement is that both him and Jim have power above the 800 category, but this is really vague, considering 801 and 5,000 are both above 800, so this doesn't have to mean they're close in power.

This all seems fairly weak and I think it'd be better to stick him at Low 2-C for his Universe destroying statements, but I'm not that knowledgeable on Trigon, so if anyone could explain his tiering to me, I'd appreciate it.

Which scans are you referring to specifically?

Yes, and I do not see how killing the Post-Crisis Justice League is a basis for tier 2 rankings.
