God of War: Ragnarok Discussion Thread

Ohh that
Issue don't fury also downscale to kratos who should be >> them?(things like ares deal alone gave him near olympian power and shit)
Furies are the ones who have the Tier 5/4 feats. Kratos has the Tier 7 feat, with a potential 7-A feat for Furies via creating the Spartan backdrop.

Furies would downscale on the Tier 7 side, but not by a lot, while Kratos would upscale from the Tier 5/4 side, but again, not by a lot. Tier 5/4 is already in a "likely/possibly" scenario so it isn't that much of a conflicting mess.

Eh I think we should use it. We should also have the warriors reach 5-A and 4-C with certain weapons like the blade that was created to rival the blades of chaos.
I guess it could work I suppose. I'll look for the calc.

Along with some further speed justifications for FTL for being able to react to the Essence of Hyperion. If that doesn't cut it they should be MHS+ at least for being able to react to the sirens lightning.
Redeemed Warriors literally fight against each other wielding Zeus's Olympian Lightning, which is even stronger and more potent than Siren Lightning TBF.

Oh mb then
I was thinking he was trynna scale the champions strongest weapons to furies hence why suggested the warriors reaching 5a to 4c With specific weapons

Edit:Nvm this I said that just as that message was edited

I could be misremembering if it's seen as infinite or not, but if we do it's always been weird to me since it has an edge in the novels.

I find the "infinite disk" argument a big weird too, the landmass is definitely finite but the sea for some reason stretches beyond that. The skies are definitely infinite tho, they're not restricted to the disk itself.

Only characters that should really be FTL are Castor and Pollux, and Kratos as per WoG. I've seen the Essence of Hyperion shots, and the characters really don't make a good attempt to keep up with the dashing dudes, and the only one who can actually properly counter said dash is... well, Kratos (But by that point he's already Zeus level so whatever).

Yeah the disk world is finite while everything else surrounding it is infinite, it's kinda like nirn and mundus from tes.
Isn't Nirn considered to be spherical?

Garm vs Jormungandarr vs Nidhogg?
Tough sell. Garm and Nidhogg both have similar abilities but Garm is straight up unkillable, Nidhogg isn't, Jorm might get left in the dust due to having no resistance to Space-Time Manip. Garm and Nidhogg are also much smaller and thus are considerably more mobile and agile to boot.

They're already sorted out by Alleigance. Neutral weapons scale to all alleigances. War Hammer of Atlas is a neutral weapon.
I mean in like those little box formats.

But I suppose I care more about the bold part, as the links in their page are kinda tricky to read through. All the Gods as well.

If the Tier 4 & 5 feats won't be used straight up (which I think they should) I think we should ditch tier 7 for Kratos and The Furies and have 6-A at least rating for the Hammer of Atlas shenanigans.

That too. Infinite Speed Redeemed Warrior

That clip I shared a few tabs back looked kinda like dude side stepped it Tbh. Might have to watch that one again in slow mo. Perhaps it could be calced.

Question since seems like with leviathian axe laufey the strongest giant
Who is the strongest giant if we exclude the axe

what if we use the Pegasus Mach 15 feat to calc the size of the Greek world , and use it to get a size for the greek world
Too bad it'd end up as calc-stacking. We tried that route once. Didn't work so great.

Closest other example you can try is the Titan-to-water ocean depth ratio thing but that's even more complicated and I don't even wanna fathom where that goes.

Oh yes. But could a case be made for the RW to be tier 2 since they have it as well?
Only with the weapon itself? Yeah, Spear of Destiny and Blade of Artemis would be Tier 2 straight up (As much as it pains me to see the Spear being butchered in terms of appearance in Ascension). Blade of Olympus is a tiny bit finicky, as is the Nemean Cestus, as those actually rely on the wielder's strength to mean anything significant.

I just remember in OBD forum they explained the basic of powerscaling work.

assume the fight only involve bare-handed physical strength

C > B > A = A < B < C

In general it is tricky because it relies on case-by-case and demonstration of the superior party's strength over the weaker one, and how well the weaker party can stand up to the stronger one. It's not always clear cut as to how it should be handled TBF.

that's not speed though
It absolutely is. Refer to the Rage section where it verbatim states that Rage also gives Kratos an edge not just in AP but also in speed, response time and overall capabilities.

"Izzy: I think you need to consider Kratos's fuel of rage as an asset that the other gods and creatures/characters don't possess. It gives him an advantage in lots of physical things, like response time, strength, speed, etc."
