Was someone talking about a black hole in this chapter? This kind of seems like it's coming out of nowhere but you're talking like it's a forgone conclusion that we've discussed beforeTo be honest, I never understood Garou's feat with the black hole in this chapter. An explosion from a combination of gravitational brass knuckles and nuclear decay covered IO and briefly swallowed all the light?
Bringing enough geothermal energy to warp the plates should have been enough to do more damage to the planet than what was seen there. A gamma ray burst so close should have been more than enough to destroy the planet even if it didn't directly hit it. This is a common thing in fiction and thus these kinds of arguments ignore attack potency for destruction capacity which results in a type of fallacy in the argument. The presence of a black hole near Jupiter should have destroyed it, but even on IO there was no destruction. Or did he create this black hole somewhere very far away?
It works on the assumption that Gamma ray bursts that are formed by evaporating black holes are being copied by Garou as evidenced by onscreen suctions of the surroundings surrounding the sphere. I honestly don't like it either. And I also wonder why they used the calculation of a black hole for a gamma-ray burst, if the term black hole never appeared there?
To be fair, there was a calc for the actual gamma ray burst but the calculation member deleted it for unknown (and probably stupid tbh) reasons.
