8-B Tournament Round 1, Match 2: Optimus Prime (2007 DS Game) vs Tayuya

It's so weird to see how different the time is in different countries.

Here, it's 17:41, so I got extremely confused.

In any case, I'll see if I can come up with new conclusions or whatever. In fact, I have just a feeling that Tayuya can pull off a win here...

Hmmm...

As it was made very clear here, Optimus is immune to genjutsu, which is Tayuya's main tool, and is way, way stronger.

But how would Optimus deal with smaller opponents? With speed equalized and with Tayuya being vastly smaller, she has a serious advantage in dodging and avoiding him, and could keep avoiding him while the giants drain Optimus.

Optimus is going to catch Tayuya fairly quickly, and the moment he does, it's going to be very detrimental to her.

What's Tayuya's AP Again? Her size doesn't mean shit since he has tracking on his Heavy Weapon and also has an AoE Melee attack in the form of the Ground Pound.

But how would he? Again, she is waaay smaller, and speed equalized favours Tayuya in this case. A fly is incredibly hard to catch, but they fly way slower than humans can move. She only needs to avoid him for a time while her giants drain Optimus.

Ooh, Optimus can One-Shot Blackout, who Downscales from Jazz and Ratchet, who then also Downscale from Ironhide who performed the Feat Optimus Upscales from.

Is this a vote for Tayuya?

... That scaling confused me. So, Optimus Prime > the feat/Ironhide > Jazz and Ratchet > Blackout (Who Optimus can oneshot)

That isn't a very big superiority, tbh

Yeah, so far I haven't seen anything that would really allow Optimus to catch Tayuya, at least in time for the giants not to severely drain him.
