Somehow, a wrench is thrown into Aizen's plans so he hurriedly tries to travel to Soul Society but ends up in Fuyuki City instead. Meanwhile, Gilgamesh has almost gotten Saber but suddenly Aizen appears in between them allowing Saber to escape. He tries to hurry after her but Aizen stops him because he wants information on where he is. Gilgamesh refuses to answer. Both of them are pissed off.

Speed is equalized. Base Aizen and Fate/Stay Night Gilgamesh. He's restricted to his 7-B weapons and from using the thing that inevitably wrecks Aizen casually. Who wins?

Gil wins. The only thing that Aizen has going here is his Kyoka Suigetsu, and that is rendered completely useless due to Sha Nagba Imuru. Not only that, but also Aizen's intellect, which is undoubtedly the best thing he has, is useless again since Gil will always know what to do and cannot be manipulated.

Aizen has sealing Kidō. Can it help in any way here? Although, he wouldn't use that in character, they're both pissed off here. Although, the sealing might require preparation time.
 
Archer (Emiya) was hit with a timespace-sealing magic from Caster and he broke out of it with not much effort. Archer's Magic Resistance pales in comparison to Gil's, so Aizen's Kido techniques would be severely weakened.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the reason why Archer broke out was because of the fact that he had already thrown Kanshou and Bakuya, and they stunned Caster as they returned to him, interrupting the spell.

Regardless, Gil's Magic Resistance should easily ward off spatial manipulation of that nature given that his armor's resistance is superior to Saber's, and Caster was obviously unable to pin Saber down.

Aizen's regen is annulled by weapons like Gae Bolg, Gae Buidhe, and Harpe, and as Scarlet said, Sha Nagba Imuru on a bloodlusted Gil makes it impossible for him to make a less than optimal decision.

Huh, it seems I've missed that part. So it seems when Archer got pinned, he'd already thrown the blades and Caster was blind as a bat and didn't see them, although having the better part of your face covered tends to do that. But I digress :)

I agree that it should ward off spatial manipulation, also I vaguely remember a small part in the F/Z novel where Kiritsugu couldn't use his Accel/Stagnate technique around Gil as he blocked it with a pendant or necklace.
 
The Anti-Regen effects would still be handy if the Hogyoku decides to act up.

Nevertheless, as previously stated, Gil's armor gives him incredible resistance to Aizen's Kido and Kyoka Suigetsu isn't working on a bloodlusted Gil.

Ultimately, Aizen's options are really limited by comparison.
 
Didn't Aizen's Kyoka illussion thing work on Yhwach and that's how they dealt his first death? So Clairvoyance may arguably not work. Not that I'm on the side of either since I both like em.

It's less about perception and more, "Always knowing the optimal course of action." Plus, Gil's Magic Resistance also allows him to resist illusion creation and he has a history of seeing through magecraft with a glance.
 
Wouldn't abilities be slight more distinct compared to magic? Since it works a bit more differently than actual magic there might be complications and it's not as if kido is similar to magic either, or Zanpakutos.

But to what extent of illussions would it defend? Aizen's worked on Yhwach and it's not just eyesight that it interferes with. It's also about the sense of hearing, feeling, and even a sort of sixth sense.
 
Does Gil's MR really that good ? IIRC his actual MR sux but his collection of NPs from GoB kinda makes it up for him. Like his golden armor for example
 
Using Ywhach as an example shouldnt really mean anything. KS was put on Ywhach before he obtained the Almighty, not while the Almighty was already activated. So it's not really anything notable
 
But that level of precognition was still unable to see through it when in theory it should've because of how powerful it is. The ability to sense every future and it was thwarted by that ability. I think it means something.
 
Also, going to go with the King of Heroes for the above reasons. Man, Gil has been getting a lot of press on site recently.
 
Personally I'm just trying to finish off all his active battles so we can get started on some other heroic spirits

smh Gil wins because in all his glory Aizen doesnt have anything to one up Gil
