Twenty-sixth round of the 7-A brackets begins! Winner of the last round was False Berserker. The semifinals are only four rounds away!

The contenders for this round are Ruti Lugnaso, submitted by Celestial Pegasus, and Archer (EMIYA Alter), submitted by Iapitus the Impaler .

Hero Ruti is used. Speed is equalized, battle takes place in this arena, 20 meters apart.

Ruti is lowballed at 724 Megatons, Emiya scales above 380 Megatons.

Still seems like Ruti has quite an AP advantage.
 
I feel like Ruti would nope Curses like that of Gae Bolg and possibly Harpe among other stuff in EMIYA's arsenal.

IDK if she could counter Unlimited Lost Works spawning swords in her body; but then again that move has to hit her with a projectile first before it activates.
 
She can just dodge the bullet or block it with a forcefield unless I'm missing something.
 
Alright, let's start. The less than 2x AP advantage ain't gonna be that big of a deal. Her healing is gonna be useless due to a few different weapons he has. I don't think he has many, but any holy weapons he would have had are likely gonna be useless here. So far its looking like he is gonna projectile spam her, and if that fails, then he caps a pocket universe in her ass and sword spawns. She can dodge of course, but that only holds out for so long

Thus, I vote EMIYA Alter

Her healing shouldn't be negated by Gae Bolg/Harpe, though. She resists curses to the point where they have virtually no effect on her.
 
He has weapons that can negate healing but aren't curses. Harpe is actually a holy weapon as apposed to a cursed one, but she could neg that with her divine manip. He also has black keys
 
Gun recoil is up there with sword size in stuff disregarded in fiction.

Gae Bolg negates healing by skeweing it with thorns, so if he can stab her with it, she would will die.
 
Speaking of, couldn't Archer trace Ruti's spear, which has the same AP as her?
 
I think Archer outskills quite a lot which, combined wiht his anti-projectile skill, ULW, which acts as both a one shot weapon and danmaku, and Rule Breaker, which would likely disable Ruti's blessing and thus make her vulnerable to cursed weapons, would grant him the victory
 
How good is her curse resist?

Because I'm relatively surr gae bolg can affect antiheroes who resist Angra Mainyu's curses
 
@Monarch She is basically "immune", as in she lacks the ability to be cursed.

Her body has many immunities, a resistance is just the ability to be stronger against something, but an immunity is to lack something.

Like with her fear immunity, she lacks fear, or her heat/cold immunity, she lacks the ability to feel either or her sleep immunity, she lacks the ability to sleep etc.
 
That might be an NLF, just gonna repost info about Ruti's immunities from the previous Ruti thread:

As i already due to her divine protection, she possesses immunities that make her lose things:


"The Divine Blessing of the Hero gave all kinds of resistances. Among them was complete immunity to sleep. Ruti no longer needed sleep. She would never feel drowsy. She would maintain a perfect condition 24 hours a day without needing to sleep at all.

According to the mantra she secretly held, normal resistance and complete immunity were completely different. Normal resistance was to become stronger against something but complete immunity was to lose something. In this case, what she lost was the ability to sleep.

Furthermore, she had complete immunity to the berserk status even if she was angry so it was just to the extent of minor waves of emotion.

Due to her complete immunity to confusion, Ruti calmly understood his words. Due to her complete immunity to despair, Ruti was not shaken by those words."

Ruti's body's condition is always at it's peak, she never feels hungry, tired or sick etc, cause she lacks the ability to do so:

"I possess all kinds of resistance in my body. No matter if it is extreme cold or intense heat, my body temperature will never change. That applies to the warmth from the bath as well, I can only gain information that this is hot water."

Here is where it's stated she has curse resistance:

"Of course, the demon's goal was to pull in the Hero. It handed the medicine to the Hero as it thought that there was a possibility the medicine could strengthen the Hero to aid her defeat of the Demon Lord.


However, it never imagined that she would swallow the medicine without any hesitation in such a situation. "It is because poison, disease and curses are ineffective against me. If this was not a medicine, my resistances should have activated." Ruti carelessly explained perhaps because she noticed the demon's gaze.


But the demon was taken aback as cold sweat emerged from its entire body after hearing those words. (Curses? Curses!? She has complete resistance against curses!? This is bad, this is bad!

That medicine was made by stitching together the grudges from the slain Axe Demons that had transformed into curses along with the Demon's Divine Protections that should normally disappear upon death! If the curse would not activate, there is a possibility that the Axe Demon Divine Protection would be lost!!)"
 
I feel like we're focusing too much on Gae Bolg/EMIYA's phantasms here then what Ruti can do to harm archer. She can use forcefields to block attacks from his phantasms considering her reasonable AP advanatage and has magic of her own that she can use (Although most of it is probably negged via Magic Resistance).

CP should be the better judge of her skill, although EMIYA certainly has the experience edge here. IMO this comes down to stamina, defensive abilities (Rho Aias + Magic Resistance vs. her forcefields + 'immunities'), and skill.

Keep in mind EMIYA can trace/project her weapons, so her AP advantage won't last for too long, and some of EMIYA phantasms should be able to get past her defenses. He is aware of abilities like Avalon too and can ajust himself to her healing hands.

Personally I'm on the fence, leaning EMIYA in terms of skill and defensive powers, leaning Ruti in AP and stamnia.
 
On another note, assuming EMIYA lands a hit with Rool Breaker, could that remove her divine blessing?
 
Idk what does it do?

Divine protections are given to every living thing by Demise who is the god that created the universe.
 
"Once it comes into contact with the ensorcelled item or person, enchantments, connections bounded through contracts, and creatures created and maintained by magical energy, they will all be returned to their original components in a state "before they were made." Contracts will be wiped clean and those with life will immediately cease to exist"

Assuming the blessing is based in magic, it would revert her to a state without it.

And yes, I think it does remove protections granted by Divine Spirits, although I don't think nasuverse gods are comparable to Demise.
 
That put I strongly doubt Rule Breaker comes into play here considering EMIYA would have to be within a very close melee range and land a direct hit.
