Akame takes on a Video Game boss

And here I thought Halo vs AGK was dead

So both are around equal in terms of AP, she's the closest to + as you can get and he is High 8C+

Aside from that I don't know enough about him to really judge

K so Akame wins handedly there

The thing that really isn't good is the fact that Murasame's poison is useless on a machine, so she only has her skill to rely on. Gotta think about this more

TBH, I know I'm technically using it wrong but it's kinda nostalgic to see an AGK vs Halo match, especially since revisions have killed the previous ones barring Didact

Well hey, If Master Chief ever gets a new set of armor and kicks the ever living hell out of Cortana in Halo Infinite, him vs Akame could be a thing again

There's also the Warden Eternal, and H5 Cortana's Hardlight projection. Althought the latter is utterly featless as of now, and not good for VS matches atm

Oh? Neat.

Anyway, Goblin has the advantage in AP and range but Akame crushes it in the skill department, so put me on her for now.

Also, are we ever going to get a goddamn speed feat at some point? We've been stuck at supersonic for ages

As in something that will make Halo not complete garbage in speed.

Seriously, Didact, the god tier, is Supersonic....SUPERSONIC....

There are probably a ton of feats lurking in the Halo EU. There are tons of novels for instance. I'd just have to try and find one.

Chief reacts to plasma shots and whatever the hell the Beam rifle shoots on a daily basis, just that there is no calc. not to mentiom the Precursors (tha actual God tiers) could travel freely in Slipstream Space and traverse Galaxy clusters in an "instant".

Bring up proof of this from novel scans and then make a CRT

@KarmodF Most Covenant plasma projectiles are only Subsonic. Energy Rifle, is 139 m/s which is Subsonic, Type 25 Carbine is 76.2 m/s which is Subsonic, Energy Pistol is 108 m/s which is Subsonic, Needler is 54 m/s which is again Subsonic. Only weapons that are higher are the Type 51 Carbine and the Beam Rifle; the former is 700 m/s which is Supersonic and the latter is 3657 m/s which is Hypersonic+. However, those two weapons, especially the Beam Rifle, are considered incredibly fast compared to Spartans and Elites, and have not been dodged outside of Aim Dodging. Muzzle velocity doesn't scale to reactions in this case. Normal humans IRL aim dodge bullets to get behind cover quite frequently, and just because I pulled a mirror out to deflect a laser pointer before the button on the laser pointer was pressed doesn't mean I have FTL reactions. John's best speed feat was dodging the Magnum, which is Mach 1.25. Really a shame when most plasma is slower than bullets

As for Precursors, that's flight speed/Travel Speed, not really combat speed. Slipspace works in a similar concept to Hypersleep, and/or teleporters.

As for this fight, I'm going to vote for Akame. She's much smarter than that Unggoy and that goes without saying. She should be able to find the Goblins weak points while the Grunt freaks out all over the place. She should also have the common sense to dodge the Goblin's attacks as well.

Vote counted.

@DDM. That is true, but don't forget that the vast majority of MC's lower-End feats where in weaker generations of Mjolnir armor. So MC with his Mk7 being above 9-A and Supersonic is not really off the table at all.

Is plasma really that slow because those numbers are from Halo nation If I remember correctly, they could be just in-game, I dont know if this is aim dodging.

Prov. name 1
The Precursors' feat is similar to the Whis feat since they dont use space-ships afaik.

Karm has a point. A lot of the apparent speeds of Covenant and Forerunner weapons are based off of Ingame limitations. So they don't exactly take precedence over stuff shown in novels and other places.

Except those are the canon muzzle velocities stated in the guidebooks. Besides, plasma projectiles in fiction really aren't calcable outside of statements or cinematic timeframes; it's all far too inconsistent. We really can't just assume they're High Hypersonic, Sub-Relativistic, Speed of Light, ect unless theirs actual legitimacy; I don't want a repeat of the DOOM incident. The Flamethrower is the closest thing IRL to a plasma rifle, and even then, that's Subsonic at best.

Still, it's more consistent for most Covenant and Forerunner weapons to be in the Subsonic to Supersonic range considering all of these characters, (Not just Spartans, but Elites, Jiralhanae, and Prometheans) do legit in canon struggle to dodge normal bullets. The Brute Chieftain that snuck up on Cal was unable to dodge a couple of Assault Rifles from marines. Even the cutscenes portray Covenant plasma and some Forerunner projectiles as being slower than bullets. Covenant Plasma has around the same projectile speed as stun guns, which are Subsonic. The only weapons that are legit confirmed to be Lightspeed are the Spartan lasers, and the Sentinel Beams; both of which no one dodges. Spartan lasers are of course undodgeable once fired, it's only the 5 second charge is what people use to their advantage. And 343 Guilty Spark for example typically fires it to the side, and just turns around using the beam more like a long sword rather than a projectile. Onyx sentinels have a similar weakness to the Spartan laser in which they require a few seconds to charge.

And Hardlight projectiles are clearly not lightspeed. One of the main reasons light is so fast is because it has zero mass, and is not effected by gravity, hard light turns light into solid matter giving it some mass and enables it to have kinetic energy, but that in turn causes it to be much slower than light as it's not effected by gravity. Additionally, as mentioned above, the speed is not that much different from regular bullets. Still John still barely dodged that handgun, and it's likely he's faster now, but not overwhelmingly faster. The Subsonic+ Anti-Scorpion Tank rocket, while a low end feat speed wise, was still another thing he struggled with reacting to, his combat speed really can't be much greater than Supersonic.

And actually, little is known about the Precursors, but actually, they were the ones who built various Forerunner technologies. They were the ones who built the Mantle's Approach according to some of their backstory. Also, them being "Transcendent" is more so just the religious beliefs of the Forerunners and Covenant; Precursors aren't real "gods" and are more like an ancient alien race that preceded others that come after them. Still, their best speed feats outside of Slipspace, which is still literally warp technology, is only Relativistic. And even then, their profile says it's travel speed. Also, Precursors were the original Flood technically speaking. The Floods were creating but the Precursors using their ashes iirc. And they're more like The Zerg Swarm.

Anyway, this thread. Let's keep this thread focused on the match.

A Grunt isn't exactly that cowardly in one of those mech suit things though right? Looking at some gameplay they're definitely not looking cocky, maybe a bit overconfident but they take whole teams of people shooting at them and they don't really worry about it.

Also most of their attacks are homing in the first place so it would be harder for Akame to dodge it because it'd sorta follow her anyways, and if she gets hit with enough of them she's gonna just explode. Also doesn't it taking place in a Halo 5 war zone sorta give the grunt a small bit of an advantage? They'd know the place better than Akame at least, so...I dunno, I personally think Grunt can take this with a high bit of difficulty just due to its confidence in a Goblin and their homing attacks, as well as their possible home field advantage.

Yeah ueah necro I get it don't @ me

Those teams aren't as physically strong as Akame. Homing attacks will be easier to dodge but considering where the fight takes place there's quite s bit of cover.

But it can just jump over that cover can't it? Toss mortars and has explosives that it can throw if Akame tried to hide and then needle her when she runs away from the explosive. The grunt is a lot more versatile with the amount of weapons it has from what I understand with Akame having a sword.

If it jumps over the cover it falls in range if Akame who proceeds to dice itike butter, thus she no longer needs to try and close distance and the grunt can't abuse its range which is one of the few advantages if has.

Yes but how many of those weapons can she use at once

I just sorta assumed the grunt has access to all of those weapons right now? It was never stated to be otherwise so I dunno.

if Akame tries to cut it up it can just run away, and also it can still throw a grenade to flush Akame out. I was told the grunt has like three different weapons at a time so it can equip the needler and a common grenade no problem I feel.

Having Access to all of them still means he has to switch between them.

Then she keeps chasing after him? It's not like he even bothers running away every single time it fights, you even said he would jump over cover after her.

My votes going to the grunt, I really don't think the sword is enough to bring down the grunt while in the goblin suit. As far as I know, the one hit kill sword doesn't have anything particularly special about it other than that curse thing, so I have no reason to believe it could cut through the suit.

Realistically that won't always go in her favor, if the sword is already having a hard time cutting through the suit, which it would ( the whole reason weapons like the mace we're invented is because weapons like the sword had a really hard time dealing damage to troops wearing full plate armor), then her putting more force behind it could cause the sword to lose it's structural integrity, or in other words, It could cause it to break.

Realistically she won't have too much trouble going through it, especially since scaling wise she should be stronger then the Goblin.

The swords structural integrity is comprised of magic, as well as some of the finer steel elements of a danger beast so it most likely won't break.

Both characters are Large Building level, and Grunt Goblin regularly struggles to fight Spartans, who are physically significantly weaker than Akame. Akame is also quite smart and will looks for weak points.

After looking into some info about the sword, it gives no mention of any magic that could stop in from breaking. Just having magic doesn't automatically make it more durable. I will not contest that akame is more skilled, brave, and intelligent, but I just don't think the sword is strong enough to get through the armor. While the grunt does struggle against a TEAM of Spartans, that is alot more targets it is fighting at once. While akame could likely defeat a Spartan ( I still think she may struggle fighting them for the same reason as the grunt jockey, just to a lower extent) I doubt she could defeat a full team of experienced fully equipped Spartans, at the most I think she could take down 2 or 3 before having to retreat. But for this fight the grunt has a single Target to focus on, its focus isn't divided. But even if the sword doesn't break I really don't think it could get through the armor.

By the looks of it, you do seem pretty new; which is fine as we've all been there. But I don't think you're quite up to date with our Tiering System. Beginning of series Akame's sword strikes are calculated to be around 4.5 times stronger than Binary Rifle or Scattershot; and those same weapons completely ionize Spartans in one hit; which would also scale to her durability via Newton's third law. There's also Akame's Class 50 lifting strength enabling her to probably at least flip over the Grunt Goblin. Also the energy windshield is less durable than the armor shells; Akame could climb, break through that, and kill the Unggoy.

Well okay then, wasn't aware of those stats, thanks for telling me about it. And yeah I'm new, I'll try keeping that in mind for the future.
