Anyways, even though Yang would grow stronger, Roy seems too versatile and experienced (I'm assuming this is vol. 1-3 Yang).

Going with Roy high-diff.

Going with Roy too. His abilities are minor but helpful against some of Yang's capabilities, heat for example. And swords are... cooler than fists.

But no really, he should pull it off in a close battle.
