Xianxia/Xuanhuan General Discussion: Junior, you dare?!

Too much friendship power in the first one, Fairy Tail but Chinamen...but entertaining. Also too much focus on the same "bloodline". Like 5-6 novels in the same family, just first novel being under 400ch while the rest are 1000+.

I dropped the second after reading 700 ch or so years ago...the reason? Idk. Still one of the first such novel i've read.

Both have good donghua from what I watched. Each new season getting better and better animation.

Soul Land had manhua profiles but were deleted as they were bad.

Not interested in ever making profiles for them as they are too low in my list for what i've read to like enough to bother. Like 2.5-3/10 would be on my note.

At least we VS Battles Wiki won't treat Soul Land characters as haxless 10-C slower-than-airplane characters because of simply disliking the author.

It is understandable. I post them mainly because they are the notably first despite they are far from the best. But if you ask me if I would make profiles for both, I share the same answer with you. The only motivation for me is to decide who would win between Tang San and Xiao Yan. You can treat Tang San VS Xiao Yan as xianxia Rey VS Korra.

Xiao Yan was stronger from what i remember in his novel but it had more than twice the amount of chapters compared to Tang San. Including Tang San from the others novels idk.

Always nice to see a bit of Infinite NEP.

For example, if Lan Mu wanted to delete the angel, he could do so by reversing the 'existence of information', turning it into non-existence. However, Lan Mu could also see more deeply, above the 'existence of information', there was a 'deletable information item' that determined whether it could be deleted or not.

It was precisely this item that determined whether the angel's information could be deleted, so Lan Mu could delete it.

Lan Mu believed that if he went deeper, there would be another item that determined whether the 'deletable information' could be deleted or not …

This kind of infinite tolerance existed in every piece of information, it was endless.

Yeah. Though I don't think it has much in common with the Xianxia of today. At least what I got from the movie.

Spatial manipulation or something else?

Under Zhang Ruochen’s feet, a space teleportation formation quickly condensed.

In nothingness, there are no rules of space, no concept of space. But with Zhang Ruochen’s spiritual power and spatial attainments, even in nothingness, he can still escape.

Technically yes but I'd just go with teleportation.

Late chapter 800 up-to chapter 1000 for DT is pretty redundant. MC restrains himself despite being the strongest cultivator and only moves to subjugate everything at chapter 1008.

Gotta pan-out them chapters to hit that 1k mark.
Yeah, it feels like he is dragging out the story. Plus, I am pretty sure the MC has gone insane.
Isn't teleportation an advanced use of space laws?
The quote reads like you need spatial axis to teleport from A to B but with his attainments, even in nothingness he can go from point to point.

Seriously, God Emperor is one of the best I've read, very consistent and not at all tiring or repetitive. The world building and the secrets behind some plot points are very good, if you don't have anything to read I would faithfully recommend this work.
The light layer of power between the realms is well divided, the MC will not go out defeating the ancient cultivators out of nowhere, on the contrary he relies a lot on plots and strategic moves to not be defeated within the universal game. Below I will leave the cultivation levels and the synopsis of the novel

God Emperor autor: Flying Fish

Zhang Ruo Chen was the sole male heir of one of the nine emperors of the Kunlun Field. Ruo Chen’s father was known to all as the “Enlightened Emperor”, however Ruo Chen didn’t just leech off his status as emperor’s son. He proved himself to be a dragon amongst men, possessing a heaven defying body, and managing to cultivate to Greater Perfection within the Yellow Horizon Realm, at just the young age of 16.

But even though he stood at the summit of the younger generation and had a boundless future, he sadly died at the treacherous hands of his own fiancee at a young age.

Reincarnated 800 years later in the body of a young boy who shares his name, he found out his former fiancee already unified Kunlun’s Field and built the First Central Empire, and was now known as Empress Chi Yao… Empress Chi Yao—Her Majesty governed the mortal world and enjoyed prestige in all directions as well as an eternal life.

Zhang Ruochen stood outside of the Imperial Ancestral Temple, looking at the statue of Empress Chi Yao, and the flames of hatred burned in his heart. “After I practice for 13 years, I shall send the empress to her doom!”

Legend of great sage still one of the best xianxia i've read, sucks that the author drop characters just every so often lol

There are quite a few amazing novels like this, for example Grasping Evil or Kingdom's Bloodline, but authors are near to dropping them at the most interesting point.

And so the Fourth Wall has shattered into a million piecies.

"Tell me the answer."

001 said, "You don't want to know."

"Does that mean I can know? Tell me, "Lan Mu said firmly.

"What's outside the interface?"

In response, 001 finally answered.

"Your thoughts are infinitely close to the truth. You and I are both existences in the author's fantasy"

Lan Mu scowled: "Author?"

"That's right. You think this is the same situation as a 2D painting, but that's not the case at all. The reason why you are the only meaningful Lan Mu is because everything you've experienced is the true story of a novel written by the author himself "001 explained.

"Ho … author? You're saying this is a novel? "Lan Mu was stunned.

"If everything is his design, then what's the point? What I've experienced or what happened in the interface, he knows, doesn't he? Even if my every move was designed by him, what good would it do him? Why did he write us and imagine us? "Lan Mu was a little absent-minded.

However, 001 only said one sentence to calm him down.

"Of course, it's to please the readers."

Non-existent Destiny (not fate).

The author introduced planet Earth. Yes, this planet. He didn't directly name it planet Earth though. It was fun seeing someone from there come into contact with the supernatural (cultivators) and his reaction was:

Meta Fiction = OP Fiction

Just finished Dragon Talisman. I'll rant.

Gu Chensha starts off likeable but degenerates in the end.

Gu Chensha starts off with wanting freedom and eternity for all living beings but then he created a world that restricts them and erases them from history if they don't contribute...Then he creates a system for the entire verse that limits their lifespan... To "help them." LMAO.

Although the system's benefits are immense, the author shamelessly added some negative things that occurred once he erased the system. For example now that everyone's minds are infinite, their imagination can also create devils born from their emotions. Where was this problem before the system?

Anyways, in the end the verse became his experiment. Regardless of what happens or where it happens, he is observing and collecting data to perfect his 10th level of the Deathless realm and to find a protagonist to defeat him. As a reader, it's like you're meant to ignore the universes that are destroyed in the process (which are full of life BTW). Why do I care? Because the person he was for most of the story would not have allowed it.

In the end though, he doesn't care about cultivation realms and is just looking for someone to defeat him. His previous noble aspirations being an illusion.

Usually they become more ruthless, mature and develop characteristics based on what they lived through but their goal or dream mostly stay the same.

Meng Hao started as a failed scholar that wanted to become rich, with a dream for money, but as it progressed he became more ruthless, would do things that at beginning he wouldnt, could say he become like a demon at some pointe but his goal of getting money never changed. He would instantly be captivated by treasures and spiritual stones...while other were creating arts to kill, he created a spell to make others own him spiritual stones.

LMAO.

Yep. My favourite character being Chen Qi. Despite becoming one of the strongest existences, he is still the same person he was; writing stories that bring happiness to the masses.
Even The person who made RT also agree with you on this lol! Anyway, what about Tiering and Cosmology of DT

The previous post is my reaction to the cosmology.

The Empyrean World is a 2-C/2-B world with infinitely stacked dimensions that could have made it High 1-B if there was a single statement of r>f, however, there wasn't.

Empyrean World realm cultivators can contain 1 or multiple Empyrean Worlds inside of them. Going up in thousands, millions, etc. Making them just higher into 2-B.

Okay, now comes the funny part. Upon advancing further into the Empyrean Dao realm (the realm above Empyrean World), Gu Chensha has a 5-D statement of the Mortal World.

Past that point? MC recreated and restructured things and suddenly Empyrean Dao cultivators are low 2-C. Then the story ends with cultivators above this being just 2-B.

Not a single mention of the universes MC created being of 5-D nature, so the regression was confusing at first but funny in the end.

So No more apophatic theology for Tenth level of Undying/Amaranth lol??? Literally Everything beside MC become 2-B, include Yang Qi ?

The tenth level is still that, so now it is just more transduality nonsense.

The 6 protagonists didn't fully manifest as real people and Zhou Qin (MC of Buddhism Is Taoism) stated they have yet to recover their previous power. So Yang Qi keeps his tier.

Planning on creating a second profile for Yang Qi that inherits both SM and DT but now non-smurf. If anyone has the 2 profile template, I'd appreciate it if you share it, thanks.

I mean, you just need to find one instance of superiority between dimensions in any of his novels linked to DT. Good change you will find something.
