What happened to the durability of some JoJo characters?

Plenty of JoJo characters had 8-C durability for consistenly tanking Stand attacks in the past

For example Jotaro tanked plenty of attacks from The World and thus had 8-C durability for that reason (back when The World was 8-C). Several others such as Kira also took extensive beatdowns from Stands and not only survived but could keep fighting, thus had 8-C durability.

Some characters such as Rohan still have 8-C durability for tanking attacks from Killer Queen and enraged Crazy Diamond (though it should be 9-A or High 8-C since Stands got revised)

Why were these durability feats were removed? When a character doesn't have durability to tank Stand attacks, what usually happens is that they get pierced through

Main because characters like Kira are damaged by normal punchs

Of my head I can't remember Kira getting damaged by punches but even if he did he's more consistently shown to tank Stand attacks, he took hits from both Crazy Diamond and Star Platinum: The World -neither of which absolutely wouldn't have been holding back against him-, and survived to keep fighting
