I think aura could block poison tho. Which pretty much means Weiss just have to reach the rat. As the range should be 60 meters by SBA, she should be able to do it before her aura fades away.

Except in an alternate scenario where she's afraid of rats, which would be cliché and hilarious at the same time.

In that case, Weiss gets melted. Ratt uses a soul poison that transfers damage to the corresponding part of the body and melts it. This poison can be transmitted via manifestations of the soul (like Stands). This causes the user to melt while the Stand itself remains unaffected.

What would happen here is that Weiss would melt. But unless she dies, the aura would still be on, so BE can't snack on her. Poor rat.

BE in character goes for headshot or neckshot. Since Weiss doesn't have her non-aura barriers on passively, and isn't seeing the darts coming which would bypass her aura...she melts

If she enters BE's range she melts. She does have the range to hit him from 80m but as she doesn't know what BE can do, and is seeing a fat rat just sitting around and not moving, she won't use her 100m+ attacks.

Ratt shoots darts imbued with a poison that melts the user of soul based manifestations without affecting the manifestation itself. For example, when Star Platinum simply held one of its darts, Jotaro's hands melted.

She's going to feel the hit and the depletion of her aura. But she won't expect to melt or get injured before her aura even goes down.

But back to business. If a Stand gets pierced, the user gets pierced too, like a voodoo doll, iirc. I don't think it's analogous to RWBY's aura as were implying.

The point is that the stand wasn't damaged, yet the mere act of the manifestation of the soul touching the dart let the poison/acid effect the person.
