@Az i wish to see both Khornate Berzerkers novels and models, same for the Death Guard.

i also must say the AoS khornates look too...advanced in their armour, the plates lack thhe archaic, medieval desing, the materials do not look as old school as they did so before

so to me they look like "World Eaters...IN COSMIC FANTASY, WITH LUCHADOR MASKS!"

Been watching cutscenes for Dawn of War 3 on youtube, here's some fun stuff:

  • The main plot involves an Eldar Prophecy surrounding the Spear of Khaine, an artifact of the God of War which the Eldar Lord Kyre believes will bring about a new Golden Age for the Eldar.
  • The Spear is believed to be located in the wandering world of Acheron, which re-emerged from the Warp after more than 4,000 years
  • According to legend, the Spear of Khaine could annihilate any enemy with one blow, and never missed its target, akin to Gungnir.
  • Lord Kyre sends Farseer Macha to obtain it. She's suspicious that he's gone mad with his talk of prophecy, and that there's more to the truth than what it seems.
  • The Imperium also catches winds of this, and Inquisitor Lords send Gabriel Angelos to obtain the spear before the filthy Xenos do. He believes it is corrupted by Chaos since it spend so much time in the Warp.
  • Gabriel and Macha are still ******* tsundere for one another. They even have a fight mid-story with both having orders to kill on sight, and nothing comes out of it because they're both holding back.
  • Macha manages to convince athe Ork Warboss Gorgutz to aid her on Acheron, by talking about the Spear of Khaine to it. The Orks become obsessed with obtaining the "SUPER pointy stikk" and actually help the Eldar for a while.
  • Not that it lasts, because Orks and they soon start punching each other and Eldar again.
  • Anyway, to get to where the Spear is enshrined, the factions have to pass thought the Vault, a vortex portal located on the planet's surface that destroys all that comes near it.
  • While Eldar and Humans are trying to be smart about it, the Ork boyz just grab a tractor beam cannon and hammer it with upgrades until it becomes potent enough to blow up the planet in half.
  • Since there's a lot of ******* heresy happening on the planet, the Inquisitors just say **** it and fire an Orbital Cannon at the warzone, annihilating most of the forces on all sides (Except Space Marines, who are warned and escape the destruction).
  • But this only manages to open the portal to the Spear's shrine, which was exactly what Lord Kyre wanted. If he gets the spear he'll obtain vast amounts of Warp-power and grow even crazier, and everyone is ******.
  • Macha survived the destruction since she was away from the battlefield talking to a Farseer Ghost on an Infinity Circuit, and Gabriel ****** up and failed to leave the planet. So basically they are the only people left to stop Kyre.
  • Macha learns that there is a humorously powerful Daemon sealed inside the planet, and the fighting is only making him stronger. So if Kyre gets the spear everyone is double-******. And so Macha is now against her own Autarch, and doesn't give a ****.
  • Meanwhile Gabriel has gone Angry Marine mode and told the plot to **** itself, and basically cut his allegiance with the Inquisitors. He's stop everyone from getting the Spear, regardless of what his superiors command him.
  • At the entrance of the Vault, all the remainder of the three forces meet in combat, the Marines with the assistance of an Imperial Knight Paladin, the Eldar with an Wraithknight, and the Orks with a Mech they call "Big Beauty", made up on the spot but on the same level as the previous two things.
  • Everyone kills each other a lot.
  • Meanwhile Macha and the other Farseer meditate together and see the future, learning the truth at last: The Spear isn't Khaine's weapon, but a fakery.
  • The whole plot was an elaborate ruse by the Daemon trapped within the planet, to gain power from numerous blood sacrifices and awaken at last. Macha says that with his newfound powers, the Daemon is a threat to the whole galaxy.
  • However, she also learns a new hidden part of the Prophecy: That if the Wayfares who journeyed to get the Spear were to unite in battle, they could stop the Daemon.
  • So to save the galaxy Gabriel Angelos, Farseer Macha and Warboss Gorgutz will have to put differences aside and all punch a Greater Daemon in the face with their powers combined.
  • While redirecting the Orks to punch the Daemons instead of them, Macha has a brilliant plan: Have Gabriel's ship activate the Warp-Drive and fly straight into the planet at FTL speeds, blowing up the entire place as a result.
  • I don't know what's more amazing, the fact that the ship Captain goes through this suicide spaceship crash, the fact that it actually works and blows up the planet, or the fact that the Daemon's power managed to make the Spear's Shrine not be destroyed, and now Gabriel, Macha and Gorgutz are now all stuck on a floating temple in space with a Greater Daemon.
  • Oh well, who cares, the three fight and beat the shit out of the Daemon and go their merry ways, the end.
This game reads like fanfiction.

@Azzy

I can't get over that she tells Gabriel's Captain to crash into the planet to blow it up and he goes through with the plan.

Still, this game actually has some excellent feats. I'm very impressive how casually the Orks make a planet-busting cannon. And how they all beat a Greater Daemon in the end. Can profiles be made for Gabriel and Macha-chan

Orks are absolute bullshit when they need to be. The Beast Arises arc is like the best example of this.

I mean, they're both canon, and Gabriel is getting a FW minuature, so I don't see why not.

The Shield of Baal supplement arc was actually pretty good, and the invasion didn't even really wrap up, since the 'nids were still around. It'll be incredibly weird if they just go "uhhhhh the Tyranids in the Baal sector mysteriously die and now there are Bloodthirsters".

Having a story about a fight between a sudden incursion of Khorne's forces and some of Leviathan's tendrils that absolutely dwarfs what the Space Marines are going through on the ground would be awesome. It would also be a good way to reintroduce Angron, who seems to be heavily hinted at coming some time after Mortarion.

All the non-dead Primarchs are coming back, apparently.

God, we need to work on so many profiles.

  • Adepta Sororitas
  • All the remaining Primarchs
  • Farseer Macha
  • Yvraine
  • Gabriel Angelos
  • Captain Titus

Oh definitely. Not to mention even more for some other factions that need love, too.

I still need to finish and post RotP Chapter 2 and 3's summaries before I make Guilliman's page. I was mostly done, saved it in word, then forgot. lmao

Guilliman's page is really easy to do. Post-Resurrection can be scaled of Daemon Primarchs.

Any place that doesn't go "lol city block level heroes and galaxy level Chaos Gods" is fine by me.

It also pleases me they acknowledged Lina's calc.

Oh, and here's a summary of Rise of the Primarch chapter 2.

  • Guilliman's revival is felt all throughout the Warp. Mortarion is furious while Magnus and Fulgrim just want to troll him. Abaddon sends Fateweaver after the newly revived Primarch.
  • While hiding it from the forces he's advising, Robot Girlyman is depressed, saddened, and extremely pissed about what's become of the Imperium, though he gets better.
  • Rowboat Gorillaman manages to destroy and drive away the Chaos forces assaulting the area of the system near Macragge after an arduous month-long battle. Afterwards, many chapters and individuals from all over the Imperium come to show their respect. The Lord of Macragge is not amused. I, CATO SICARIUS, AM PRESENT, AS WELL!
  • The Arch-Consul has brought Reboot Gilligan a beautiful golden laurel wreath as a gift and insists that he wear it. When he does, Rembrandt Gila Monster has a great many visions of grandeur pass before him. When he sees himself taking his father's throne, the Primarch tears the wreath from his head and orders the Arch-Consul restrained. Turns out he was a servant of Slaanesh sent by Fulgrim, who telepathically tells his brother, "Ha! You've been pranked, bro! GOT 'EM!".
  • As forces gather for Roboute "I Have Too Many ******* Nicknames" Guilliman's new crusade, Amalrich, the last of the Black Templars left alive from those who fought for Cadia, is reunited with his chapter. The Templars deem him to be touched by the hand of the Emperor and award him for his bravery by making him the new Emperor's Champion.
  • Guilliman's armies go on to kick ass and take names all across the system, driving back the forces of Chaos.
  • Nurgle creates a plague that makes Imperial soldiers literally cry themselves to death, because he's kind of a dick. Spehss Muhreens are unaffected because they are SPEHSS MAHREENS!!!!1 Guilliman's presence seems to cure this disease, but it later turns out Nurgle was just tricking him to waste his time, so Guilliman is eventually forced to continue on after dicking around soldiers' bunkers for a few weeks.
  • Guilliman has a personal talk with Yvraine and the Visarch before they depart. Yvraine suggests Ynnead is actively seeking to destroy Chaos, and thus may have some kind of potential alliance with the GEoM that nobody else knows about. Yvraine also says Guilliman will die if he takes off the armour, though that can't really happen because it's made of plot.
  • Guilliman's crusade continues on, making multiple Warp jumps to different systems as he checks to see just how ****** everything is. Eventually, they're intercepted by Magnus and his warship the size of a small planet. He shoots the absolute shit out of Guilliman's ships before flinging him them into the Maelstrom, I imagine while shouting this.
  • After a long-ass time, and riiiiight as the Terran Crusade is about to escape the Maelstrom, they're ambushed by a large group of Red Corsairs being led by Kairos Fateweaver himself. Because Guilliman has discovered that he can't have nice things.
  • While things initially seem to be in favor of the Imperials, Kairos uses his bullshit daemon magic to create unbreakable chains around Guilliman's body that are made from how much he ******* hates life. Kairos then basically pulls out a gun and goes, "YO EVERYBODY DROP YO SHIT AND GET ON THE ******' GROUND!", to which everybody drops their shit and gets on the ******* ground.
  • CLIFFHANGER!
Hopefully I'll do chapter 3 before 8th is released. lol

Hey Azzy, I talked to some of my Rogue Trader lads and they got all 8th Edition books ready for download. Do you want them?

guys question, please i need help with a possible profile for Egil Styrbjorn, how strong/durable is a Dragon Ogre and a Troll? please help if you two @Matt & Azathoth do not mind.

@Az what a coincidence, i can give you (in some private way) many codexes of both Wh40k and WHF (more of the second thought) you interested?

One little tibbit of New Lore from the Dark Imperium book that intrigued me a lot:

Since Guilliman is a huge nerd, he commands that a new "Order of Historian" is created within the Imperium, with would have access to all Imperial Archives and have as their mission attempt to piece together a cohesive history of the Imperium, asign dates to events and chronicle everything accurately.

The Inquisition absolutely hates this, and it's implied that they've begun killing the Historians, almost as if they want to keep something hidden.

@Matt you have the novel or do you got that from a page that contains spoilers? i found one that seems to say Roboute seems to see the Primaris as simple tools and he is not too fond pf them.

Wondering also if I should make a content revision thread for potential upgrades that might provide, because I am just now realizing it scales to a lot of people.
