UNDERTALE/DELTARUNE [shiny new] DISCUSSION THEAD

Ever wanted to more comprehensively express your opinions on the various theories?

Heya, I want to ask a few things, I wasn't at the beginning of these discussions so I don't know if they've been answered yet.

Shouldn't Susie have Pacify?
Susie uses Pacify in the "bad" ending of Chapter 1 and even though it is not something she mainly uses, she has the ability to do it.
I also think that Susie can use it in the normal route for the same reason that she uses it in this route.
"Hey, c'mon." "I'd never forget something I made fun of you for."
There is also the possibility that Ralsei used the spell off-camera, but the dialogue is kind of weird if that is the case.

The whole thing about when a team member is down they start to heal themselves little by little until they get up.
I feel like that should be on the Delta Warriors page.

When will Kris be given summon via the objects/darkners in their key items

How is Ralsei using the spell we know he has off screen less likely than Susie using a spell she hasn't shown any interest in using and when she only started to learn healing magic (terribly) in Chapter 2?
Also the dialogue is not weird, I think it's pretty clear who did what there, with Susie being the distraction for Ralsei using the Pacify spell (Her remembering Ralsei's spell doesn't mean she was the one who used it).

Fair, I never thought Ralsei was less likely, I just felt it was kind of weird but thinking about it makes more sense.

While I was waiting for you guys to answer this I made a Sandbox for Starwalker just for the funnies
First time creating something like this, It probably has a lot of errors.

Nah, just text manipulation, as there’s no evidence that he actually changed the plot of the game. Flowey was just messing with the player and tried to scare them by changing the intro.
This is used as one of the justifications for EE, so currently this text is used as "literal" for EE, and not just changing text that doesn't mean anything.

AAA!!!

This is either a nothingburger (Non-canon in canon.) or REVOLUTIONARY!

"Translation: The text and implementation are done, working on fixing some last issues.

Testing: Still ongoing. One tester said "players will find it very inconvenient that you cannot save or load in the Light World"... I was initially resistant, but I decided to add Save Points there in Chapter 4."

Testers foresee it to be inconvenient to be unable to save or load in the Light World.
The fact a tester said players will find it "very inconvenient" could mean that going to CT every time you wanna save.... Or it could mean the Castle Town Save Point, accessed from the school, won't be accessible.

He also said he put Save Points "there" in Chapter 4. This could mean these Save Points are in Chapter 4 exclusive areas, or they only manifest there because of related events. (Ex: Something incites enough Determination.)

Toby also said he put "Save Points" "there". As in multiple Save Points in the Light World!

This suggests the Light World may have big things; Otherwise, a single central Save Point could probably suffice, right?

Also, what if these Save Points ARE canon?
If they're like the DW Save Points we've seen before, they may give us flavor text. & if they don't, could that mean no Determination in the Light World?

Please, discuss this with me!

Interesting. This implies that in Chapter 4 we might be exploring more in the Light World or something along those lines. I wonder if the Light World will have combat.

any idea for the month where Chap 3 and 4 will release?
Probably at least a month or 2 from now. As Toby said, there's still testing to do. Plus he mentioned "fixing some last issues", but wasn't the whole reason he got a team because of his perfectionism?
Does that testing include porting?

What was the status on that stuff in the December newsletter?
The fever dream is officially compromised. It's #Joever.
I'm assuming you're joking about how Toby compromised his worldbuilding by putting in likely noncanon save points into the LW?

Oh heck, I didn't even think about combat.

Then again, what if it's the Light World equivalent of the tea cups, but you know. HARDER, because it's Chapter 4?

The tea cups for Spamton's side quest literally killed me like 20+ times.
Toby Fox is a Touhou fan, no?

I'm not the most keen on the bullet heck genres, but I'd be surprised if he doesn't try to ramp up the challenge.

Then again, who knows? Maybe working with a team will make him decide to hold back, what with playtesters. But he didn't seem very lenient last time we saw him talk of the Playtesters mentioning difficulty....

Given that was literally Flowey, yes.
Alright if Sans were to fight this guy, you thinks it's good?

Alright I'll just change Sans opponent to Luffy

Bro I don't care about Bleach fights🗿
I feel the same for the most part.

Of course, I also just plain don't know, nor watch/read Bleach.
Though it's kind of funny, since I swear, 90% of Deltarune stuff is actually just Undertale stuff related to the SOUL or Sans.

Maybe I'm wrong.

What have the recent topics of Undertale & Deltarune revisions been?

This then idk

Also ngl I am finding a hard time getting Tier 8 things for DR which are not Snowgrave.

I suppose this is a side effect of being an incomplete game.
