UEFA Champions, Europa and Conference League Discussion Thread

Real madrid didn't have any goalkeepers left, right?
Kepa would be good.

With 1 goal scored by Icardi, we won with a total score of 4-0. But now we need to sign a number 8. De Paul and Veratti are on our agenda, also on Transfermarkt, and Ndombele is also on the agenda. Someone has to need come soon.

The best possible fixture for Galatasaray has arrived.

Alright, the first fixture is over with a bang, I was most surprised by the Milan-Newcastle match(And Lazio- Atletico). Others were predictable.

Real Madrid last minute clutch save against Berlin

Arsenal impressing like crazy

Galatasaray draw

Bayern clapping the Red Devils

Sociedad just... existing besides Inter Milan.

Sevilla doing Sevilla things.

Man City with fraud Halaand and real talent Alvarez

PSG fodderizing Dortmund

AC Milan and Newcastle being utter dogshite

Galatasaray drew due to individual mistakes and bad luck, we could have scored 3 or 4 goals in the first half, we missed 4 clear goal chances in the first 20 minutes.

Apart from this, Milan drew despite playing under pressure.

Bayern won easily without any effort, while Alvarez saved Man City

Inter had 1 shot and played their worst game

Sevilla's goal is the European league, maybe we can go to Europe and be one of the big candidates for the cup.

I watched their matches and they don't have good and strong games. Obviously, we can smash them with quality team we have.
I don't think you get it bro.

No amount of quality is going to get you through Sevilla in the Europa League. They won the damn thing 7 times in a row for a reason, even against Jose Mourinho's Roma.

Nah bad game can't save you. Sevilla can't beat us with this bad game.

Skip this and focus on the United-Galatasaray match on Tuesday. Zaha will tear them apart @Larssx

And @KLOL506 will witness it
I'm not sure about this bro, we will play away against United and as far as I can see from the last matches, Zaha is the only fit person in the team.
But we still have a chance. If Zaha plays like the Zaha we know, yes we can win against them.

Worry not, Man Utd is in shambles RN.

Napoli vs Real Madrid... we'll see. I'll be shocked if Real wins.

Napoli fought hard and well with their penalty, but Valverde's power shot was too much. Vini and Bellingham were a masterclass.

Galatasaray W, Man Utd Stinker

Arsenal Stinker, Rennes W

I didn't doubt Real, we were not given 1 penalty in Man UTD, and we missed 2 clear scoring chances along with 1 penalty. We could have scored 4-5 goals in this match, but in the end we won

I didn't doubt Real
Real is lacking significantly in terms of an offensive striker and in the left-back and full-back positions.

Camavinga is a world-class left-back when the boss calls for it, but you can only rely on him for so long, given that he primarily plays as a central midfielder, and Mendy is incredibly injury-prone. First order of business should've been to grant Ancelotti reinforcements in the form of Alphonso Davies and some good right-backs like Achraf Hakimi or Reece James (Who would honestly do so much better away from Chelsea).

Of course, the attacking is not an issue ATM because Ancelotti is trying his best to unleash Bellingham's true potential. But the problem is, he plays Vini as a second striker where he's just not fit for that position, and it puts further stress on Rodrygo because he's a right-wing, hence his massive inconsistency as of late. It's still a glaring weakness that can be taken advantage of at any moment. That is honestly Ancelotti's fault at large, which he needs to remedy ASAP.

Joselu should be played out more on the right (After all, what's the point of having a back-up striker without actually playing him out) while Vini is brought back to the left where he gets significantly higher chances of assists and goalscoring options from Bellingham and other amazing attackers in the field like Valverde and Tchouameni. Joselu gets too much flak for not being anywhere on the level of Benzema, because while yes, he's nowhere near the talismanic performance his predecessor had, he is still insane with aerial duels and has a really bad habit of being in the right place at the right time to just tap in the goal, his chances of making those finishes right now are significantly higher than Lewandowski, it's almost as if Joselu is a man reborn at Madrid.

To be frank tho, even with those disadvantages, and even with Napoli managing to level out the score after the penalty (Which was honestly a terrible decision to make because it shouldn't have been one), Napoli ultimately got taken care of real quick by Valverde's power-shot (Which honestly nobody should be surprised at anymore because he's just that good). Didn't expect Kvaratskhelia to be underperforming that bad really, and Osimhen should've gotten plenty of goalscoring chances but ultimately he got blocked out hard by Rudiger and co. The real threat this time was Ostigaard, but even he got taken care of quickly.

Either way, it was a great match. Just goes to show you can never underestimate Madrid even at their worst.
