Toki/Battle Spirit (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba)

So I was looking around the KNY profiles here and saw this:
Both sides possess Battle Spirit (鬭氣 Tōki?), which is overwhelming aura that induces fear and paralysis into those not resistant to it. Battle Spirit has been used to make the air heavier, cause one to lose the will to fight, or even induce external lacerations and internal bleeding in severe cases.
When did these abilities that are in bold ever happen? I do remember Battle Spirit causing fear and freezing people in place, but I don't remember Battle Spirit actually hurting people.

How are we sure that isn't just Muzan making demons explode at will again? Like what he does when they spill his name?

I don't know, but nothing suggests that's the case.

Muzan did something similar with the Biwa Demon in the manga (causing her head to explode) so I'm not completely sold, it could just be another application of his demon control. Are there any other examples? Like a demon slayer doing it?

There are a plenty of fear aura feats in the verse, with some of them mentioning the air getting heavier and feeling pressure. In the manga, the background pattern behind Muzan is in line with aura feats, and the anime shows the window glass getting cracked so it wasn't merely biological control.
Kyojuro Rengoku's databook page mentions that his Battle Spirit is enough to overwhelm others, and it looks like aura, so it is assumed that aura = Battle Spirit, which everyone has in Demon Slayer.

In one of the light novels, Gyomei (despite being blind) could tell that Shinobu and Kanao are sisters from their aura.

Behind the body of the demon which was slowly disintegrating were two young girls. The girl who did not look that old herself was protecting the younger girl desperately. The two girls gave off the same aura, they should be sisters. They were trembling and crying non-stop.

Oh I wasn't denying that Fear Aura existed, it definitely does. I was just looking for evidence of aura physically affecting things since I didn't remember any. But the cracked glass is pretty suspect, yeah
