To Aru having infinite dimension?

The "infinite layers of existence" spell of the Magic Gods is just a tool they use to not break the regular universe outside their own secret world. It doesn't upgrade them, it nerfs them.
 
The infinite layer spell is just a way for them to nerf themselves back into a point where the universe doesn't get destroyed when they set foot in it. It is a nerf spell.

As for toaru universe, Phases are not dimensions, in terms of dimension it is 11-dimensional.
