They both wear primarily red, get extremely angry if you call them short, have the ability of transmutation and have an ability that's hazardous to their health (Ed's healing and Gibril's Iron Maiden). Also, it's important to note that Gibril dosn't really use the metal on somebody's body to fight them (As shown when Copen, who's armor is probably metal, didn't get flung around or anything like that)
