The Asterisk War General Discussion

Alright, since Volume 6 stuff is added and everything that the anime covered is also added, it's time to go beyond, so, as I said before it's better to use spoiler tags from Volume 7 onwards.
Volume 7 additions are going to be pretty small. Ayato will get 2 new techniques and I will add Claudia to the wiki. Nothing much happened this time around since it was more so an introduction to Gryps and upcoming characters.
 
Anyway when new profiles are created in the future for that, I would like to list the possible one which must have.
Spoilers are from further volume 7
1st. Eishiro (equal or stronger then ayato's 2nd seal and even stronger then many orga lux)
2nd. Sylvia(just below orphillia and raw strength equal to Ayato's third seal)
3rd. Ernest (Equal to Ayato's third seal)
4th. Madiath mesa (Far stronger than Ayato's third seal, even Ayato and Haruka together also can't defeat him)
5th. Elliot Foster (Equal or superior to kirin when both using orga lux)
 
Currently reading the volume 17 of the asterisk and found that one character who had appeared in both the anime and LN, he can use ice ability although he only used it for once in V17, also you know that character quite well.

In Gryps there was also an ice user. Though, he got demolished by the Jie Long team (the leader, iirc)
Idk if it's the same guy. Sadly, in the Gryps there isn't any impressive ice moves that are worth calculating. At most the results would be 9-A to 8-C IMO

Fortunately, this isn't that person from Gryps.
His name is Madiath mesa, but I think it will be a hax than AP, with his aura he made the surrounding temperature below freezing point.
 
I've been a bit busy with school, and working on other verses, so I'm a bit off the tracks regarding Volume 7 CRT. I will try to get scans, and prepare the profiles, today. Though, no promises.
 
Ok, so I'm preparing my scans and let's just quickly talk about how absurdly skilled Kirin is. She was able to learn Amagiri Shinmei Style's Master Technique, the Reverse Rakasha, after Ayato performed it once. And master techniques are meant to be used with Shiki, but she can do it without that state. God Damn.

Ngl, i like how they handle her copy technique, sure she did skip Shiki but she actually need to practice for it to work as a lone technique so it make it "realistic".

Also did Kirin lost to Ayato a power thing and not a skill thing?

Yeah, a lot of verses forget the practice part and cross into the ability section when it comes to skill.

Kirin lost to Ayato because he tricked her. She is more skilled in swordsmanship while Ayato is more skilled with multiple weapons.

I have read Volume 9. The additions will be relatively small. More intelligence and skill justifications with some techniques.

But, the interesting part is Volume 10, and so I want to hear your thoughts.

First, we know that speed is actually far harder to increase than strength in the verse thanks to Volume 7. So, if a character became 2x as fast through training, we can assume they became at least 2x as powerful as well.

Now, currently they are rated as Mach 23 in speed. Julis in Volume 10 keeps up with someone who uses lightning attacks, so Massively Hypersonic+. If we round it out to baseline Mach 1800, it means she became 78x faster since the Pheonix.

This means that Gryps Julis would scale to 32916 Kilotons aka 32 Megatons (City level). Would this scaling be fine for you?

Anyway, just finished Volume 10. It was extremely fun. Ernest>your favorite character.

Anyway, mostly just ability additions and skill expansion, same as volume 9. Also, possible upgrades to City level.

But to talk about Ernest more:
Not only is this mans monstrously skilled on a forefront, but he has extremely broken adaptability. Like, straight up Reactive Evolution. He went from being pushed back by Ayato at full power to matching him equally, blow from blow.

I'd go as far as to say he would have won if Claudia hadn't helped Ayato, since Ernest was close to cutting Ayatos crest.

Only depressing thing is that we didn't get an actual statement of how much stronger Ayato became. It was just "lol full power = stronk"

Yeah, he is amazing when he doesn't restrain himself. Though, so is Julis. Currently reading Volume 12, and in V11 her strength surprised even Xinglou. Ernest and Julis are definitely my top 2 favorite characters.

But it's sad that the author didn't show about Ernest much in the later volumes, I always hoped that there will be a rematch between Ayato and Ernest.

Yeah, I'm guessing he will be mentioned only when compared to other students. After all, he had graduated.

Also, I'm basically writing an essay for his V10 Intelligence section lol
 
Oh yeah, almost forgot. All genestella can sense mana/prana which will give them Extraordinary Perception. Will include that in my next CRT.

Also, they are highly resistant to mind interference, so all of the characters will have resistance to Mind Manipulation.

This also means that whenever I decide to add Varda-Vaos (or maybe someone else, idk), it will have a layer of Mind Manipulation which is pretty good.
