JJK anime came out right around COVID times, when anime was absolutely skyrocketing in popularity.

It had perfect timing alongside an amazing Studio adaptation and a weekly manga that was already successful.

One-Punch Man was one of the most popular series in 2015, but anime was less popular. And the manga wasn't in something as big as weekly Shounen jump. It also had less content and was a monthly/bi-monthly release. Then you had radio silence on the sequel until the 2019 anime which was just a total disaster.
Yeah it's amazing that OPM is still fairly big even after everything that's happened. I honestly think the main reason why OPM is still popular is because of the powerscaling community. Powerscaling became more mainstream after COVID, especially since Youtube Shorts appeared around that time and powerscaling edits became a big trend. In my opinion, OPM is one of the most fun series to powerscale. Murata and ONE are pretty damn good at making the series consistent in terms of power levels, so it's very logical to powerscale. Also, most characters in OPM are brawlers and have fairly simply abilities, as opposed to say, the Bleachverse, which is kinda hard to powerscale imo because the abilities are so overly complicated. Then in 2022, OPM went absolutely nuts with the power creep with the debut of Cosmic Garou, where the verse went from tier 6 to easily tier 4, if not higher. We all know how much powerscalers love on-screen impressive feats. But it's been 3 years now, and the anime is on life support, the manga had its reputation ruined because of the 4 billion redraws per month, the mediocre art, and just not advancing story-wise. The only hope is the webcomic which is still pretty good, but chapter releases are very infrequent.

Is atomic samurai stronger than Silver fang?
Bang outclasses Kamikaze in every stat because he's got more experience. However, I give the attack speed advantage to Kamikaze because of his atomic slash. Now, if he gets the Sun Blade, I believe Kamikaze can actually defeat Bang because it did damage to Golden S, who is stronger (physical) than Bang. (I think at least)

where tf is the math for the Sky King's Small Town feat? The link to it on the verse page only shows the hero association durability

I swear if Murata makes Amai's monster form look cool instead of ugly, i'm gonna be pissed. The whole point of that form is to show that Amai's true form is ugly which is why he's obsessed with hiding his true self and being beautiful. I'm just worried because Murata keeps trying Tareo as a cute kid when he's supposed to be mad ugly

it is probably because the webcomic is already ugly by default
