ONE is pretty good on taking the least impressive route for a hax. If it does show up it will probably be over time, have terrible range or easily dodgeable.

Honestly for plot consistency that's the better route to take, because then everybody needs to have hax or use their hax very selectively or you can easily get plot holes, many such cases

True. Infinite/immeasurable speed is probably the worst offender on this by far, since something like that will never be anywhere near consistent unless the character is treated as transcendent.
