people talking about promises when saitama was about to nuke all 8 billion people on earth, including the one he promised on.

Honestly, you people need to re-evaluate Saitamas character. He isn’t the person we thought he was. He probably needs to get his anger problems checked out.
Except we've learned Saitama had no idea what he was doing. He was confused that he was suddenly in space again, kind of telling me he didn't really expect to destroy the planet in the first place. This is given evidence by the fact that he told himself he can "finally go all out". If Blast wasn't there it would have been manslaughter, not premeditated murder since Saitama clearly just thought he was going to kill Garou, and not the entire planet along with him.

Saitama did say that he felt like blowing up the planet a couple chapters ago

I already pointed this out, yes, and as I stated it wasn't intentional. Saitama wasn't going to blow up the planet because he "felt like it".
“Your honor, I know I said on record earlier that I felt like blowing somebody’s brains out and that I actually did pull a gun on that man. But you honor you see that statement I made was vague, just in jest, I didn’t really mean it.”

I guess he would be free to go if he was in your court?

That whole scenario falls apart since it's pretty obvious the "man", your analogy for the earth in this idiom, obviously isn't the target. It would be more like a police officer shooting someone and in turn, accidentally hitting a bystander (or maybe the civilians hurt when caught in wars?)

I'm not lawyer or judge lmao.

You're not bringing up anything I haven't taken into consideration in my argument though.

If Blast wasn't there it would have been manslaughter, not premeditated murder since Saitama clearly just thought he was going to kill Garou, and not the entire planet along with him.

Manslaughter is still punishable by the court of law, it's usually just treated as negligence though and thus given less severe reprimands.

Yeah, I agree on one thing: Saitama saw red at that moment and Blast literally saves Earth from kinda of a God level threat, since their clash would absolutely trash the planet into oblivion. Kinda brings me back to the famous quote "with great power, comes great responsibility", someone like Saitama can't allow himself to do what he did "just" because he lost someone, like Superman, he must always keep his power in check

The difference was that Saitama may be more grounded than Superman (In this case) and lost his cool, maybe this is because he never had to experience a "loss" after getting his power, maybe was frustration for not being able to save Genos despite being so powerful, maybe all the above, but one thing is certain: At that moment he was everything but a hero

Ummmm, actually, its, "With great power there must also come great responsibility" 🤓

Well this time there is a bit more to it than black specs, but more importantly than just the visual evidence, narratively speaking it makes more sense considering that Garou is now a worthy opponent for Saitama and is apparently getting him to go all out, and furthermore, it's also consistent with Saitama saying he was scratched a couple chapters earlier by a weaker Cosmic Fear Garou.

Still, there is no definitive way to say whether or not Saitama bled there, and the new chapter in 5 days will most likely (albeit not certainly) clarify this. For the time being though, I do believe he bled.
When did Saitama say he was scratched?

Chapter 165: "And I went and made a big deal about telling that kid I wouldn't get scratched."

Btw on the Platinum Sperm multiplier thing it says Jet Nice Guy is an A class hero, but he's actually B class.
Just a minor thing that needs to be corrected.

What does the original Kanji say? Because Saitama isn’t anymore hurt here than he was in any other fight in the series. He’s not bleeding.

He’s got scuff marks. Said marks caused by Genos, Kabuto, Suiryu, Boros… pretty much anyone who’s landed a hit. But that’s all.

to be fair Garou is capable of matching saitama's power and speed with his serious mode copy
even if he wasn't hurt at the end of the chapter (he was) Garou's definitely capable of hurting him later in the fight

Original Kanji doesn’t say scratch but the idea is the same. I think Saitama said “hurt” instead of scratch according to translators but I can’t remember the exact translations.

Well I think we’re about to find out if Saitama was ever actually hurt since if next chapter shows Saitama being unaffected despite “blood” being next to him from fighting an even stronger Garou, then it’s safe to say he was never actually affected by him.
