Putting aside any VS debating context, you really should. Its a good book (The best Star Wars novel I ever read). There are a lot of quotes from it above though.

Yeah im with Arda, its probably one of the best things from Legends and its so good with its worldbuilding.

Vitiate's ritual definitely destroyed more than organic life. They even mention the stars going dim. However, some things of note.
  • The vision shown where the galaxy is destroyed is done to a dwarf galaxy.
  • The ritual is not an omnidirectional blast. It basically wipes out every star in said galaxy, which is technically 4-B (or 4-A, if I'm misremembering).
Wiping out every star in said galaxy? This is technically incorrect, as you can see in this image regarding the ritual.

Dimstar1
Dimstar2
  • In the first image, the star itself is not being wiped out, but rather going dim instead. Said star loses its radiation energy, but it does not necessarily cause said star to be destroyed.
  • In the second image, Scourge even says that the stars in that galaxy (and the main one) go dim. Nothing here states that the stars are wiped out in this instance.
  • You would have to figure out the radiation energy emitted by each start affected by the ritual, and multiply it by the number of stars in the dwarf galaxy + the main galaxy to figure out the approximate yield for this feat.
This ritual is a feat that is spread out about on a multi-galactic scale. As for the true yield of this feat, it may/may not be Solar System level, or even Multi-Solar System level.

We literally see the starts going out and nothing remaining in the galaxy. Scourge even says that nothing remained on either galaxy, and called it "The end of everything". Are you even trying to be subtle on your downplaying now? We know you have a giant bias against Star Wars but your constant attempts at downplay since last year are ridiculous.

@Reppuzan If all of the stars in that area covered by the ritual were suddenly to go dim in a short period of time, there would be no lumination present in the center of the galaxy (where said ritual was shown to be covered).

Meaning, it is perfectly plausible for a large sector of a galaxy to suddenly go dark, if there are no light sources illuminating the area (such as the suns in that area going dim).

You are making wide speculation and clinging to the literal meaning of the words. What happens is that the stars are destroyed, and both galaxies are left with nothingness.

Except that the stars are actually stated to go dim, not actually destroyed.

Scourge even says this, as posted in my second picture. Not to mention that the Ritual of Nathema technically does not destroy anything, as shown by the Nathema (the Planet), as well as Ziost, remaining intact even after the ritual has been performed.

You are the one making speculations here.

No I'm not. Scourge them states that nothing would remain on both galaxies, which you blissfully omit.

If Scourge does say that nothing remains of both galaxies, why do buildings, planets, and stellar structures still remain in the areas that the Ritual has touched?

As you can see, all of life has been sucked away in that area due to the Ritual (as it is supposed to do), but the buildings in the background still remain intact.

For the stellar/planetary structures, I have posted this in the first image.

This image of the people lying dead is obviously not literal, you once again utterly ignore the statement and visuals showing the galaxy being erased.

Obviously not literal, as your interpretation of everything in the galaxy being erased is. Considering that even in the areas affected, planets and stellar structures remain intact instead of being crumbled apart.

My dude. Every single description of the rituals state that the galaxy would be erased. There's no need to be grasping at straws here. Even the scene you are insistant doesn't show galaxy being erased... shows it being erased.

Why is this thread even still going. We aren't even discussing Plagueis anymore.
