Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Discussion Thread - WITH SPOILERS

just watched great movie though one thing i didn`t like was how miles was able to run from the entire spider man counterpart and fight miguel. Thats so frustating.

While not canon i've seen a youtube comment that justified this by saying that the Spider-Men were not taking the chase seriously/going easy on Miles as a sort of act of defiance
It's probably not the case but i like the idea

Just watched the movie and it’s peak cinema
Although I felt that halfway through the movie at the Spider Society it became a bit slow

There are accepted 8-B/Class M/Supersonic calcs for the verse, they are waiting to apply them.

So, one supported fact to the whole Spiderverse/Marvel Comic Multiverse thing is the Spider Byte girl we see in the movie (And having an prominent role instead of just an cameo) being the same Spider Byte from one of the Spider-verse comic events, she even was in the (main) earth 616 during the final conflict

Also, great movie, best spidey picture after Spider Man 2 and the first Spider-verse

The amount of times Gwen threw Miles under the bus was criminal, poor kid.
Paved with good intentions although. Her gut was telling her to help Miles but the spider society kept telling her to use her head and not let it get in the way. Same with Peter.

I think another reasonable thing is that a lot of the time, the Spidermen were all clumped up and getting in each others ways. Although I do think it’s still a notable feat that Miles could outpace and multi-task avoiding hundreds of spidermen all trying to take him down.

Just saw the movie. I really liked it.

Stupid to ask. But this movie and MCU really connected? Thought the Earth-199999 thing is just a joke.

They clearly reference the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man (who took part in the events of that movie) makes an appearance

Also love to see Spider-Man from the 1994 cartoon in sequel along with Toku Spidey and maybe actual 616 Spider-Man from the comics.

Peter was still conscient after the explosion. Even if the 8-B from the explosion doesn't work, he would still downscale to either baseline 8-B or High 8-C+

I don't think it's LS. Miles wasn't physically holding down Miguel or something like that, he was just having his hands on his shoulders.
I think what Miles was doing was that he was sticking to Miguel, that's why even though he tried hard to pull away he couldn't break Miles' grip

Not really? Since Miguel couldn't pull his hands out the train either. It seemed to me his whole body was stuck because of the electricity. Makes sense given we know what the venom shock can do.

Nah if you watch the scene again Miles definitely just has his hands stuck to Miguel's shoulders
