Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Discussion Thread - WITH SPOILERS

I’m fairly sure a younger variant of Mcu Peter appeared in the comics, which could imply that the Mcu and its multiverse are the same as the comics

Kevin Feige said that the MCU's multiverse is separate from the comics. At the end of the day, the 199999 designation is for indexing purposes

Also, how did anyone forget Miguel having sealing via his equipment? He did it to Gwen’s father, and Miles. Should be noted that it’s durable enough to take his punches, and required his Venom Blast (that’s significantly more powerful due to the palms instead of just his fingers).

There's no official name for those, so what should we call them?

Also, shouldn't Spider-Society members get Resistance to Matter Manipulation via the armband that prevents then from "glitching" in other dimensions? IIRC Doc Ock mentioned in the first film that glitching is rapid cellular decay.

Miles could get that too via Optional Equipment, since he got a free-trial band for a bit

It's still 8-B, but no more chance of upscaling for a +
IMO the best chance we have of getting some high-tier Spider-Verse scaling is if one of two things happen:

1. The ending of the next movie goes completely off the rails and -
- Miles somehow obtains the power of Captain Universe like he did in the comic.
(I just don't see this one happening, but I guess it's not impossible.)

2. The Spider-Verse movie-universe characters come full circle and appear in a Spider-Verse comic storyline. I don't know how that would work, for multiple reasons. But who knows, I think it's not the most unlikely thing in the world.

The best chance so far is 8-A via scaling to Spider-Man Unlimited, and given we know that Insomniac and Spectacular are their original versions, we can reasonably assume that the same applies to Unlimited

Wait, I just realized. Despite SSM being canceled, we know that he lost Captain Stacy, despite the fact that we never visually saw it happen in the show. So, this at least pays credence to the fact that the narrative, in some way, continued.

I know, I was kind of just joking around. Though I do wonder if that scaling would be accepted, given that Unlimited didn't really confront Miles directly. Yeah he chased him, but there wasn't a fight. Not that I'm against that scaling to be clear, if you ask me I think the movie was trying to imply all of the Spider-People there were relative to each other, or at the very least not several tiers apart from one another. But obviously I'm not the arbiter of how that whole scene should be interpreted ;)👌

Unlimited was in the room when Miles knocked everyone away with a Venom Blast, including the former

Unlimited has the highest normal speed feat by a mile and Miles dodged his punch

I know, I saw the movie. I was referring to strength scaling though, not speed. It's cool for Miles to get the speed buff, but Unlimited is still (at least right now) a whole tier higher than him as far as AP goes. Would knocking him away with the Venom Blast be enough to scale him to that? I'm asking genuinely, because I don't know.

Everyone except the main cast had to take a moment to recover from that, meaning it most definitely harmed Spider-Man Unlimited, meaning the cast scales to 8-A. Hell, they took it up close and still were less harmed than everyone else

Why wouldn't it?
I don't know how these things go, I have less than a hundred comments on this forum. I don't know what counts as sufficient enough evidence, here 🤷‍♂️

I'm not trying to debate anything, I hope it hasn't come across that way. Please do give my man movie Miles all the high-tier scaling you can, he deserves the respect.

Personally i'm not a fan of scaling them to Unlimited Spidey but not because of any problem in the logic, i don't like the idea of all the characters getting their rating because of scaling off of a cameo
But if the scaling goes through it just be like that i guess
