Can you get a calc ready? I've seen lightning dodging be calced at High Hypersonic or even lower.

First of all, do you know if that's real lightning, because it appears to be twisting in a rather unnatural way, and furthermore, we typically need to calculate how fast the character moves compared to the lightning bolt either way. But you could ask some Calc group members.

It probably is. It came from a cloud and Ling stated that Father can control weather now, which further proves it. In the first panel it looks like a legit lightning, Arakawa has a weird habit of sometimes just twisting some of her drawings, here https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/File:Full_metal_alchemist_99_23.jpg for example. But yeah, I'll ask the calc member.

I don't think he's reacting to lightning. In the first feat it looks like he is reacting to a tornado coming down which just happens to have lightning around it.

Well, isn't he blocking the lightning right in the last strip?

It looks like he is blocking a energy ball that has electricity or lightning streaming off of it.

Well, in the first panels we see a lightning bolt flying right at them, so why would it change to a energy ball all of a sudden? It is probably Arakawa's weird habit of twisting her drawings, like how she often draws straight strips instead of arms.

The lightning bolts from above have nothing to do with the energy ball which is coming at them from the side.

Notice that after the tornado hits them the little girl calls out to Hohenheim that something is approaching from in front of them and cuts to him blocking an energy ball.
