Actually, it doesn't break any mandates

Sonic has felt sadness in the games, the thing is he doesn't cry, that's it

uh-huh it's looking to get to that point, his loved ones are infected by a virus, he's constantly getting tired while his immune system is trying to stave off the virus. what else? oh he's about to face cyber shadow which can only go more wrong. there's seeming to be no hope but hey it beats marvel zombies in my book.

The closest thing Sonic has to "love ones" are his friends. No parents, no siblings, no girlfriend. Tails is the closest thing Sonic has to Family.

Amy falls in the friend deparment.

Also, as long as Sonic doesn't cry or Wangst, it's ok for him to show negative emotions (he hates tears and sadness so he may not show it too much)

They did and they didn't. Part of the Mandates was they couldn't use Metal Overlord or Black Doom.

heck no, dark mobius wasn't that dark.

If a dark god conquering the world & ripping the souls out of everyone except a small resistance isn't dark,I don't know what is.

then crap I don't know what to tell you chief. that's not even fleetway level's of dark tbh. it's dark just not mentally traumatizing dark, is it like sandman accidentally mistaking spideman for a zombie and mercilessly killing him by blowing him from the inside out? or? going to your home planet after being tricked into being shot into outer space, make your own life and then have it destroyed assuming it was the tricksters who were also friends with? then you beat everyone up including your closest friends only to find out it was your different planet dude who did it because of some prophecy of a cosmic level threat that destroys planets and eventually the universe holding it all? what do you think? dark enerjak saga could've been much more dark if we had more history to bear, all it shows is what would've happened if super sonic didn't have the abilities to take down enerjak with no other background, it's all okay because the freedom fighters found a way to clone themselves and/or quick f*** before then, when silver arrives he helps stop this slightly warped timeline and in the encyclopedia it's implied the enerjak that came after the dark enerjak is fixing everything or has fixed everything and the only worry is what the entity will do to the new enerjaks mind before and after it's all done with.

and everything else? dude the encyclopedia mentions people dying, being fed to other organisms, losing limbs and having to resort to violent surgery for cybernetics (which are stripped by enerjak) and other stuff, let's not forget the romance fiasco's.
