Crazy how Scourge appeared after stealing Sonic's life, apparently shared a bed with every (relevant) girl in Knothole, and then left after being outed--And no one ever considered the implications. Or how Scourge is a surprisingly good guy despite being super sleazy by using Sonic's name to get with girls and gave Mina good life advice as well as rejected her advances after she threw herself at his (Sonic's) way due to her emotional turmoil.
...wtf

I mean.........nah, as a watcher of the Bumblekast, nowadays he just..........deeply doesn't like romance/shipping, since no matter what people will always complain and insult him for it, he wrotte Sonally pretty well and faked Sonamy just to make the Sonally reconciliation more impactful, Sonamy is jusy the ship even Sonic Team endorses, so in things in more in supervission of them, Sonamy is practically the only ship that will receive any real "hints"
I think he was burned out by shipping 100%, though I think he still likes his ships here and there? But he doesn't seem as passionate anymore. Though in Ian's defense of being a Sonamy guy, Other M I think is filled with Sonamy stuff, and I believe he hated Sally? IDK about the legitimacy of Ian hating Sally though.

Saying he hates Sally when he said multiple times he wants to bring her back, and with the protagonism he gave for her is Archie, is, no offense, a very stupid sentence lol

Hm, I suppose he merely hated her in his early fanfic days. Or maybe shit just made it look like that.

Just another convoluted Archie plotline that forgets the core appeal of these characters was never their personal life (also gross!).

Btw, since yesterday I was talking about Sonic and Shadow's place in the "scaling chain" during Generations, how do you all interpret Shadow stopping himself from using his new abilities in his battle with Sonic since he thinks they'd be unfair? Do you interpret that more as a versatility edge or a power edge or both in Shadow's favour had he used them?

Twofold.
  • He doesn't want to stoop as low as using Black Doom's powers against Sonic because he likely associated his entire Doom Power arsenal as something "unpure" in a sense.
  • Shadow's near-entire dynamic with Sonic falls upon proving himself the better hog. That's the main reason he never uses Chaos Control against Sonic once their rivalry actually gets intense, why he never removes his Inhibitors, etc. etc.

Very good point

I think that point further lines up with how Shadow said he would beat Sonic on "equal terms or not at all". Plus, when you consider that his battle with Sonic in Generations was one where there was power the two had equal opportunities of grabbing to use against each other, it doesn't contradict the original boss battle

Both. If it was just about versatility, Shadow would have accepted to face Sonic and just refused to use his hax as he usually does. Instead, he allowed himself to get "one-shot" so Sonic could take the fake emerald. Right before that, we see him try to supress the Doom powers, as if they passively grant him a boost in an aspect that goes beyond the hax directly displayed.

I feel it’s pretty vague in all honesty, however I personally lean more towards it being a versatility edge with Shadow having a permanent passive boost in strength from gaining each new power. In other words Shadow was “forced” into using his raw increase in strength against Sonic, but chose not to use his Doom Powers in order to make things as fair as he could.

The main issue with figuring out which it is arises from how there’s no real tell for the actual raw power increase, as the black aura isn’t always there and seems to usually represent the power simply existing rather than an increase in strength occurring at that moment. This is most notable with Shadow’s encounters against Black Doom, where the black aura is rarely shown despite him definitely using the raw power he’s gained. Considering also the framing of Shadow gradually becoming “complete” and how Black Doom grows in strength alongside him, I feel it makes slightly more mechanical sense for the raw power boosts to be passive rather than activated.

While I do agree with Shake in that thematically it would make sense for Shadow to not want to use his gained strength at all against Sonic, I also feel him trying to limit his increase in strength as much as possible is equally compelling, as it show he isn’t quite able to fully reject his bloodline just yet. Him saying he wanted to beat Sonic “on equal terms or not at all” could also be seen as him being OK with losing that time due to knowing it’s not fully his own strength he’s using.

Like I said before though, it’s all pretty vague.

I mainly lump Rush/Shadow 05 as the start of the Modern era (from a game sense) due to the voice cast change, and other factors. But uh, I think the era shit applies to timeline to my thoughts can be disregarded.

I did have the thought of Neo Metal Sonic letting Bowser tear into him in a rage, standing there and taking it, specifically so he can capture his biodata, and heal with Super. It sounds dickish, and in character for Metal, maybe.

Honestly, I'm glad this battle is gonna happen. We haven't had an army battle in awhile, and given the opponents here, its the perfect choice for that type of Death Battle. I'm only making fun of Bowser because I think Robotnik has like, an absurd amount of wincons, but I do genuinely think this is a good episode idea

Though hopefully they don't pull another sun disk feat: I swear, I've seen enough complaints about THAT to last me a long while...

The funny thing is, they used the sun disk thing for whats quite possibly the worst "destroying a planet" feat ever. EVERYTHING about that feat from the Invincible comic points to it being dogwater, even if you believe its a larger planet than Earth. It took multiple people to do it, Space Racer had to stabilize the planet for it to even happen, and the people who performed it were KNOCKED OUT. Like they couldn't have possibly picked a worst feat to gas up

Neo Metal Sonic the moment he sees Bowser Jr. (both "copied" the titular characters of their respective franchises)

Is this fan art?
No one else believes DT game Sonic beyond this site sadly…
DT?

They DIDN'T gas up that feat. At all. That's why the sun disc was the crux of their argument instead, but maybe they should have gassed up the Viltrum feat instead, because every point you brought against it has been thoroughly debunked. Most notably, Space Racer's involvement in the feat makes it MORE impressive for Nolan, not less. I won't go into it here because it's totally off topic and I'm tired of repeating myself, but it's infuriating how much the people who try to deny anything higher than planet level for Nolan have the same amount of dogma and inabillity to listen as Eggman downplayers.

This is my bad, I phrased what I was trying to say a bit weird. But I won't get any further into that since I know what its like to have to constantly go over the same points for a feat (I will at least say that I do think Nolan is low end Tier 5, but I don't agree with Death Battle's verdict or how they approached the feat in question. Still, I'd rather not have us derail into that lol)

Though, whats this about Eggman downplayers?
Dimensional tiering. Tier 1 stuff
