(I'm one of the rare Blaze fans who dislikes Silaze/Blaver and just sees Silver as a burden on her presence in virtually every story where they're paired up).
I find that extremely fascinating because I feel I don't hear this particular stance enough. Do you find that Blaze is complimented best by Sonic? (Which I'm mainly inquiring of because they had a mostly off-screen adventure around the planet, human areas included as seen by Spagonia)
Tl;dr: I want Silver to get a year but he need's a proper, staple place in the franchise first (outside spin-off and side content fan bait), I mean it's been years since he was even the 5th most popular Sonic character in the franchise (iirc he's currently 7th or 8th globally).
If this "Frontiers 2" development leak is true, and the formula with Open Zones and skill trees expand, there's some mighty fine potential for him there. Like those Super Sonic constructs, just on a more minor scale.
Almost forgot isn't the Knuckles show coming out today on P+?
Yup. Reviews are... mixed.

In the first episode alone, Knuckles showcases Underground Mobility, Stealth Mastery, and Attack Reflection of all things. He can literally just reflect Chaos Energy with his fists

Sonic Question Time!

So, we all know 2024 is officially the Year of Shadow. If you had the power to choose, which character would you give the "Year of [X]" treatment?

Personally, I think a Year of Silver would have some amazing potential. He's a character in a weird spot of being fairly popular but still somehow underrated (probs cuz his absence in game appearances as of late). And of course, the untapped potential of expanding Silver's future. I can't believe IDW of all things did it first (and not even much, mainly for like 3 different panels).
Year of HIM. Blue CHADvok.

Truthfully I was a Sonaze/Blanic shipper when I was younger (minor existential crisis of aging) but with time I just want her world, her dimension to be explored and expanded while having natural interactions with the main cast (I enjoyed her team-up with Amy, Cream and Cheese in Sonic universe as well as how surprisingly well she bounced off Shadow also FINALLY seeing Sega acknowledge the mutual guardian responsibilities both her and Knuckles have in IDW was heartwarming). Overall I just want Blaze to always have a major reason to be in Sonic's universe and when she's not have side stories take place in her universe from answering lore questions (e.g: does a planet Wisp or little planet exist in her universe?, do human NPCs exist in her empire?, are the Sol emeralds connected to the Ancients civilisation?, etc) to giving other characters another place to explore (e.g: imagine the Babylon Rogues reaction to Sky Babylon Zone?, Marine interacting with Sonic's other friends?, interdimensional diplomatic relations between G.U.N and the Sol Empire?, etc). Tl;dr: Just use Blaze and her world more in the core medium without betraying her role as both a leader and a guardian.

I also suggest Sega take notes from the Psychonauts franchise when dealing with a cerebral character in a platformer and ofc P-06 Silver. Ofc you can give an artist the materials and inspiration to make a magnum opus but execution is key and well... it's still Sega management of the Sonic franchise... (pardon my cynicism).

I can already tell what the major complaint is without even watching the show (yet) and if you're a Monsterverse fan, it's an all too familiar complaint lol!

Episode 4 unironically establishes that Knuckles fought Iblis before the events of the second movie. I mean, they don't call him Iblis, but he's called "The Flames of Disaster" and the design looks pretty on point. Can't tell if this is some form of foreshadowing for a later movie or its just their way of saying they won't adapt 06 in this continuity

Superhuman Precision feat in episode 6. Two Rings are thrown at Knuckles, but he punches them backwards to open precisely on opposite sides of his opponents, essentially reverse BFRing them

Gonna squeeze the last bit of abilities I noticed into one post as to not come off as giving play-by-plays

-Knuckles drives a motorcycle in episodes 4, 5, and 6 so (Vehicular Mastery)
-In episodes 1 and 6, Chaos Energy is capable of infusing itself into regular objects (such as bowling balls), basically allowing them to be utilized as projectiles capable of contending with Tier 6 level opponents (Limited Power Bestowal)
-Knuckles can infuse his fists in fire with the Flames of Disaster (Fire Manipulation)
-The Flames of Disaster allow Knuckles to fly. Not glide like he usually does. Straight up fly upwards into the air at will. Keep in mind, he even clarifies in episode 2 that his regular means of gliding isn't flight. So, The Flames of Disaster grants Knuckles (Flight)
-With the Flames of Disaster, Knuckles pretty much tears The Buyer's mech to shreds, with the mech having easily subdued and stomped Knuckles
-Flames of Disaster Knuckles easily catches a giant ass globe object thing that I don't know the name of and tosses it. Might be worth calculating given it could be higher than the Class 25 feat

I wonder if this means Knuckles is gonna be the replacement for Elise if they adapt 06...? I'm getting ahead of myself LMAO

So the question now, is who will be the one to kiss Sonic should they adapt 06...........I'll leave you folks with that lovely idea in your heads.
I wasn't gonna say it if nobody else did first

Knuckles having the Flames of Disaster is f#cking sick. That shit is gonna sound raw on his page.

Honestly I do like the choice for Knuckles' fire-based abilities to straight up be the Flames of Disaster. And yes, it will in fact sound raw as hell when put on his page

I still gotta watch Knuckles. It seems pretty good.
I heard one of the clips has really bad acting/lines but I got that off Twitter which is one of the most miserable hell holes in the world.

One more thing I thought I'd mention. When Knuckles recounts the events of Sonic 2 to Wade's mom, she brings up top Wade how it nearly led to Knuckles "destroying the entire planet", which Knuckles confirms. I feel like this is more so in reference to the Master Emerald's power than Knuckles' own strength, but yeah, thought I'd bring it up

Apparently Sega has given Blaze's dimension so little to work with Flynn briefly toyed with the idea of merging it with Sonic's dimension. But that was awhile ago, so I don't remember the full details...

Very glad that idea wasn’t explored. Now, I actually don’t dislike a lot of Flynn’s writing choices, but merging the Sol Dimension would’ve taken away so many fun elements from Blaze’s lore

eh, his argument was that "it would help to make her more available".....which don't make sense since the emeralds dimensional traveling has been a thing since Sonic 1

fast as Sonic is, he is also very skilled, so here:

I've just finished watching the "Knuckles" show and gathered my thoughts so...

Tl;dr: A 7/10 series for me personally.

*Episode 1 was the most enjoyable episode (imo), had great moments (Knuckles' obstacle course and renovations were quite charming), good pacing, good acting, great action and a nice balance between hype moments and downtime while cleanly establishing the foundation of all the plot points. The Sonic and Tails cameos were a nice touch plus ngl I did kinda enjoy seeing Knuckles interacting with the spirit of his dead ancestor just because I know Ken Penders is gonna flip lol. A solid 9/10 episode.

*Episode 2 had a pretty big tonal whiplash with Wade getting a whole James Bond-like cut away in his mind plus the pacing kinda got skewer with Knuckles needing to be rescued, Wade shenanigans with a bounty on his head, rogue GUN agents on the hunt and the bowling/daddy issues plot all chaotically mashed together instead of organically progressing sequentially. Apparently from EP2 and onwards Jeff Fowler has minimal to no input on the the show so... yeah. A meh 6/10 episode for me.

*Episode 3 was actually hilarious to me and the fact I know some people might find it annoying only makes it funnier to me. Wade's mom quickly became my favourite human character in the show, sometimes you just need a supportive loving parent who is always there for you even if you don't see them regularly anymore (something that often gets taken for granted) plus Knux liking her cooking was wholesome while Wanda (Wade's big sister) was pretty unlikable, like I get the whole jerk/antagonistic older sibling trope but stabbing her kid brother at the dinner table? Yikes! (also kinda surprised Knux let Wade get bullied by his sis). The fight scene to protect the candles was funny and that adult joke in Wade's bedroom with the "condition" of a muscular woman cut out was also funny but... gross. 7.5/10 episode carried by Wade's mom.

*Episode 4 was pretty much Sonic Dreams collection; the musical and I'm not gonna say anything more since even just thinking about it makes me feel a little "high". 4/10 episode...

*Episode 5 was pretty much the typical setup episode for the finale. Wade meets his dad, the rogue GUN agents team up with The Buyer and the bowling tournament begins. The show kinda fell off between balancing tense and funny moments like when Wade's father predictably turns out to be an irredeemable schmuck who hands over his ex and daughter to the rogue GUN agents and Wade jokingly (I hope) doesn't mind Wanda getting killed (I know she bullied you but sheesh!) then it bounces back to Wade seemly being forced to betray Knux in order to save his family. Also what kind of father is so petty he is willing to give up his own family to win a bowling tournament? quite literally cartoonishly evil. An ok 7/10 episode for me.

*Episode 6 was an interesting finale, definitely the second best episode (imo). It was satisfying seeing Wade and Knuckles trick the rogue GUN agents with a clever plan, the action scenes was the best in the show with Knuckles deflecting two super warp rings causing the rogue GUN agents to get BFR to the shadow realm and the whole "flames of disaster" sequence against The Buyer was epic as well, the issue is the action only makes up a fraction of the finale (at the very beginning and near the end of the episode) the rest of the plot focuses on the bowling tournament finale and Wade getting closure on his daddy issues which kinda feels half-hearted since there was barely any interactions between Wanda (the other child that got abandoned) and her dad also Wanda would rather waste time dislocating her thumb to escape handcuffs than be helped by her brother (get these siblings to a psychiatrist ASAP) plus GUN kinda just sucks at their job (three of their agents went missing in the show and there's an entire criminal faction of ex-GUN agents) plus afaik Knux's straight up kills The Buyer, so yeah. There was a little Shadow easter egg, with the announcer claiming another alien took part in the bowling tournament 50 years ago (1974) which was a nice little touch. A great 8.5/10 finale but could've been better paced.

Pros:
*Knuckles is portrayed as powerful but not a meathead (yes this will always be a positive until the dumb Knux memes die).
*Wade got much needed character development and depth outside just being Tom's dumb cop friend.
*Expanding the world building with the nuclear level quills of Sonic and Knux just causally laying around Earth and the potential current (and future) dangers that entails.
*The combat sequences were surprisingly well choreographed for the live action Vs CGI scenes with a couple clever usages of the environment.
*Wade's mom... nuff said!

Cons:
*Wade is pretty much the protagonist of the show while Knux is the dueteragonist despite the title which may sour fans compare to preconceived but fair expectations.
*The show struggles often with who it's trying to appeal to, it's a teen rated show (most kids can't even watch it) that periodically switches between both childish and adult humour while also dealing with serious topics like genocide thus the tone is all over the place.
*Next to no videogame music again! (you know one of the strongest selling points of the franchise)
*Important lore being shown in an acid trip musical? No thanks!
*Wade's dad... nuff said!

Overall I enjoyed my time with the show and it pretty much met my expectations knowing beforehand Wade was a MC. A few missed opportunities (lack of Sonic music) and a few pacing/toning issues (questionable humour) but nothing that drags the show down to the level of (pre-redesign) Sonic movie 1 also the drawing book intro was so wholesome too and now I can't unhear Christopher Lloyd, Pachacamac so GREAT SCOTT HELP ME!!!

Side note, is it me or are most of the villains British?

Snip
NAAAAH YOU PULLED OUT "SONIC DREAMS COLLECTION" FOR EPISODE 4 😭 😭

I think your thoughts are a pretty fair analysis of the show. Definitely some weak spots that could be improved upon (in my case, I think the focus of some episodes and pacing could definitely be revised), but I think its still enjoyable in its own right. I can totally understand the mixed opinions people have on the show, but the claims that its "the worst piece of Sonic media" is one of the hugest stretches I've heard. I think one thing everyone can agree on is that Knuckles was not slandered. His character is consistent in quality and I hope Sonic 3 keeps up that momentum for the character
