A look at the Emerald Powers from Superstars
-> Avatar
Blue Emerald. Avatar Creation/Duplication.
-> Bullet
Red Emerald. Stops your character in midair and lets you choose which direction to go in from there.
-> Water
Cyan Emerald. Changes the user's physiology to... Well, ******' water.
-> Ivy
Green Emerald. Sprouts a vine where the character is standing to reach high places.
-> Vision
Purple Emerald. Lets you see the unseen.
-> Slow
Yellow Emerald. Slows down time without affecting the players
-> Extra
White Emerald. Character specific ability. Sonic gets the Homing Attack, Tails gets the Tornado Spin, Amy gets the Hammer Throw, Knuckles gets Punch.

Full collection is the Super state. Each character gets it. Super Amy is canon.
That's nice

Also, shouldn't Dark Gaia maybe get an upgrade to being compared to the 2-B/2-A Super Sonic, since Tails compared it to the barrage used by The End on the Ancients' world?

Skimming over Sonic’s resistances, stuff like age manipulation, and his matter/antimatter resistance seems sketchy. Sonic never directly resists age manipulation from the time stones, only time acceleration, and he can’t even be hit by Diablon’s particle beams or antimatter cannon.

Not necessarily, Jojo time acceleration doesn’t work like that.
It does, we see that when pucci made a baby become old ans made eggs hatch into baby chikens

You can play the Diablon fight yourself and see; the only time Sonic takes damage is when Shadow hits him, otherwise he phases through everything cuz game mechanics dictates he shouldn’t be hurt.
You can't use game mechanics to exclude everything that is blatant resistance dude

Says me too, omega. Sonic wasn't in the Blue Falcon & Heavy Dog boss fights where the Particle Beam Cannon was used.
yeah i know, was talking about thw matter stuff

The matter manipulation resistance came by enduring hits from that weapon and would not count for Sonic since he didn't get hit by it.
He is tho, he just isn't affected by it

You could argue Diablon’s beam is matter stuff, as it’s a more advanced machine than Heavy Dog and Blue Falcon and the color is the same between the two weapons

My issue is that unlike Shadow, who very clearly gets hurt by the beam and has invincibility frames, Sonic just passes through with no issue.

Which means that he has better resistance to it

I think it’s less a better resistance and more just “he doesn’t get hit because he’s on Diablon’s side and bosses shouldn’t hurt their allies in gameplay”

Main reason is just the resistance is purely from abusing boss hitboxes in gameplay. Both Diablon’s move and Shadow’s attacks deal damage, however only Shadow’s actually damages Sonic. Moreover, the fact Sonic loses to Shadow here and Shadow still takes damage from Diablon shows that Sonic isn’t more resistant than Shadow, since Shadow doesn’t lose to the hax. More likely Sonic just isn’t being hit by the attack

in gameplay, but in story it would, considering how big of an aoe the cannon is, to say that sonic dodged all of it while close to shadow to hit him is very weird, the gameplay is to show how the battle went, and in this case, we can say for sure that the attacks hurt him also, specially since he is hit bey it

Moreover, the fact Sonic loses to Shadow here and Shadow still takes damage from Diablon shows that Sonic isn’t more resistant than Shadow
chaos forms such as hero and dark shadow say hi, i really don't see your point here

, since Shadow doesn’t lose to the hax.
don't see how this matters also

More likely Sonic just isn’t being hit by the attack
the game itself says otherwise

If Sonic was hit, he would have invincibility frames considering that’s what happens when he’s hit by Shadow. This does not happen.

But the only place Sonic has this resistance is the gameplay, and the gameplay actively shows he was not affected by the attack at all

If he was hit; then he would show the telltale signs of a character getting hit in this game (they get knocked down and blink with invincibility frames)
