Seats of Heaven (RP Pre-Registration Thread)

This is an early pre-registration thread, as the RP is still in development but close to being finished. Feel free to make characters and otherwise treat it as a regular registration thread though, as doing so will be helpful. I'm open to any suggestions for the final product.

This RP is a sandbox. As newly mandated candidates for The Throne of God, players compete for it and other minor seats (if they desire), but this is not the end all be all purpose of the RP. Even participating in votes and elections is optional.

Everyone starts with 1 character, 1 power, and 100 EP (Evolution Points), and gains EP = to the page# times 100 on every new page. (Ie: you gain 200 EP on page 2, 300 EP on page 3, and so on.) EP can be used to buy characters, powers, and Divinity. EP can be spent at the start of every page, preferably before making any major actions. Characters must be from the vsbattles wiki, (or fcoc case by case). Powers can be from anywhere or even made custom.

Here's a useful calculator to find how much EP you'll get/have on any given page. Just set a to 100, b to 100, and the number of terms to the page number.

The first character purchase is 100 EP and the cost increases by 100 with every purchase. Only one character can be purchased per page, one at a time, no matter how much EP you have or whether you purchased any on the prior page(s) or not. Powers cost 100 EP each. Powers can be purchased up to two at a time per page.

The Seats of Heaven are an artificial pantheon created when Prometheus, an organization named after the banished titan, tricked the old gods into vacating The Throne and subsequently used it to alter the laws of Heaven so that none of them could ever sit upon The Throne again. Its infinite power was fractioned to create several "Lesser Thrones", now referred to as "The Seats of Heaven". The Seats of Heaven are elected positions that all players can achieve by attaining votes from each other and the various factions encountered throughout the game. Factions include Prometheus, The Old Gods (Split into individual pantheons), Earth, and Hell. The seats will change every 5 pages, but votes can be made or changed at any point until then.

Divinity is a power system that grants certain abilities depending on how high it is. These are generally going to include things relating to godhood. Divinity also determines your base stats, and the maximum tier, speed, and hax level of powers and characters you can acquire. (Characters and powers with stats higher than this range can still be gained, but their relevant abilities will not be applied to you until your divinity is high enough to utilize it). EP is converted to divinity at a 100-to-100 rate. Attaining a seat will boost one's divinity by a set amount for as long as it's held and allow one to benefit from completing Divine Agendas. The Throne increases one's divinity by an infinite amount, while the lesser Seats increase it by 500K.

Agendas are missions or objectives created for each of the Seats that reward Divinity or EP when completed. They are created by mankind's prayers and distributed among the seats themselves by whoever sits on The Throne. Each seat can only have one agenda, and when it's complete, they gain the reward regardless of their contribution.
Agendas are given in 3 tiers: Supreme, Divine, and Basic. Basic Agendas are given to all players, and all players are subsequently rewarded upon completion. Divine agendas are given only to those holding seats, and Supreme agendas only to whoever sits on The Throne of God. Agendas are cleared when the clear conditions are met, but some may be on a time limit with specific pass or fail conditions attached. New agendas will potentially be given whenever seats change but may also come irregularly.

Domains represent one's innate connection to a particular concept (For example "God of Time"). It gives a 5x modifier to abilities of the given archetype, affecting AP, resistances, potency, accelerated development, etc. The multiplier stacks additively if taken multiple times for the same archetype (ie: 2 levels into fire is a 10x multiplier for fire-based abilities.) Domains will be gained regularly as Divinity increases. Gives abilities proportionate to the acquired level based on the table below. A domain at the corresponding level allows you (the player) to create abilities at will that fit the corresponding description. There's no limit to the number of useable abilities. 3 Domain points will be given with each Divinity milestone. These points can be used to buy new Domains or level-up existing ones. (In case you want to be domainless or have all of the domains you do want maxed out, or are otherwise just satisfied with not increasing them for any other reason, you can trade these points for powers or characters instead. 1 point = 1 power. 3 points = 1 character).
Magic LevelCapabilities

(Note: As a general rule, abilities that otherwise fit the description of one level might be ranked a level or so higher if they can be easily used indiscriminately on a large scale. Conversely, if they can only be used to a very limited extent such as under precise conditions, on a specific target(s), or having an excessive wind-up or cooldown period, they could be ranked a level lower.)
Equivalent Hax level

(Maximum, it may fall under a lower Hax level and still fit the descriptions here.)
Examples

(Note: Real-world examples are relative to a normal human. Other examples disregard the potency of specific abilities to the extent they will always work, for the sake of the example.)
1Basic usage of the ability. Can harm others with it if used offensively, but would have a difficult time killing anyone of a comparable strength through this ability alone. Defensively, provides only marginal protection or buffs. Essentially these abilities on their own can't be relied on to win a fight and should be used in tandem with other skills to be effective.HaxlessA lighter, oven mitts, an umbrella, a flashlight, a cellphone, a fire extinguisher, road spikes, a pitfall trap, a lasso
2Ability can be useful on its own in battle and can definitely kill with enough time and effort, though the user would have to go well out of their way to do so or otherwise get very lucky if using this ability alone. Can be relied on when used defensively to block/avoid hits or provide useful buffs or other positive benefits such as healing. Likewise, minor debuffs and status ailments are also possible.LowA taser, an improvised weapon or shield, airsoft and paintball guns, a whip, a flashbang grenade, Cruciatus Curse, Remote Punch
3Ability can be relied on as one's main form of attack and can kill opponents of similar strength with medium effort. As such, it can provide more useful buffs, debuffs, and status effects and generally be a huge pain for the opposition to deal with; often gives a decent strategic advantage that shouldn't be ignored.LowA flamethrower, a sword or spear, a simple car, a bulletproof vest, Caduceus Staff, Full Counter, Wither Effect
4Ability is a huge asset in general and can easily be the deciding factor in battle if a counter for it is not found. Will almost always cause massive damage in very few hits, potentially even certain death under the right conditions. Defensively can make the user nigh untouchable without a proper way of dealing with it specifically. May otherwise make them extremely resistant to a specific element, damage type, etc. Can induce game-changing status conditions. While powerful, the ability should have some major downside or weakness, or otherwise, be easily avoidable.MidMost firearms/handheld explosives and their respective armors. Love Commandment, Purple Haze, Special Beam Cannon
5Ability is almost guaranteed to produce a certain win condition should it land; abilities of this level are finally worthy of being called one's trump card. May singlehandedly protect the user from several forms of attack to a limited extent or a few of them almost completely. Can grant debilitating and decisive status conditions that would need to be dealt with by the opponent to have anything but the smallest hope of winning. Still, there should always be some way for others to avoid or get around this ability, however slim.MidCastles, siege weaponry, rocket launchers, Domain Expansion, Zabaniya: Delusional Heartbeat, The Ruler
6Ability is a certain win in most circumstances if not explicitly countered or avoided. Can and likely will instantly kill or induce some other decisive victory condition. May make the user virtually immortal if used defensively, or provide extreme resistance to several different abilities. While still avoidable, doing so is almost impossible under equal conditions or without a direct counter.HighArmored tank/attack helicopter (or other such vehicles), Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, God Hand
7Ability is essentially a certain win that is virtually impossible to avoid outside of niche circumstances or technicalities, such as being an invalid target or out of range. Should almost always result in an easy victory when used and not outright countered. Defensive use may make the user practically invulnerable to a wide variety of abilities. Should still have some exploitable if minor weakness or similar limitation, though this would not inhibit its usefulness in any significant way.HighLarge scale non-nuclear explosives, carpet bombings, nerve gas and biological warfare, Gae Bolg, Dynakinesis, Megidoladyne
8Ability is not only a guaranteed win but outright overkill in most circumstances. Should be able to instantly deal with several opponents of the same level with minimal effort or danger to oneself in the absence of a direct counter. Such abilities could make the user practically untouchable, whether they're innately defensive or not. If any weaknesses exist, they're massively outweighed by the ability's other advantages.Very High
(Gesture/Action based)
Nukes and similar weapons of mass destruction. Deathsongs, Chaos Meister, Accelerator
9Ability is singlehandedly a surefire win if not actively dealt with by opposition. Generally impossible to avoid and must be otherwise countered, or better yet prevented. May be borderline passive and/or retroactive. Defensively, the ability may completely negate damage, negative effects, or other such tactical setbacks. Usually has few if any inherent weaknesses, but none that hinder its practicality beyond the user's innate competence.Very High
(Thought based)

If something like magick is an acceptable domain, well first of all, is it? What could it do?

So with 100 divinity you get 3 domain levels and you can distribute these levels however you wish (i.e. 3 domains of lvl 1 or 1 domain of lvl 3), correct?

@Spider_Kaiju

Yes, it is. You would become a god (or demon) of magic or the occult, or however you want to phrase it really. It would give you generic magic abilities that don't necessarily fall under other archetypes, so something like magic missile would be okay but not a simple fireball (unless you have fire from other abilities). It would also amplify any magic you use regardless of the source, let you learn and create new spells faster, and so on. Feel free to make stuff up. You can freely create abilities relating to your Domain(s) in particular as long as they fall under that Domain's level or lower.

@WHYNAUT

At 100 Divinity, 3 is the maximum level any of your Domains can have. There's otherwise no limit on the amount. You will either get domains automatically from increasing Divinity, be able to purchase them with EP, or both. I just hadn't come up with the specific ratio/cost and forgot to mention it.

Theme Song: Shifu faces Tai Lung

Name: - (Let his name be decided through his deeds)

Race: Human

Backstory: A young man without a name who seeks to improve himself through strife in his search for ultimate power.

Characters: Killua Zoldyck, Khun Eduan

Powers:

- Complete Monkey King Mode's stuff (with the sealing gourd restricted and clones always limited by the hax level)

- Union of Mind, Body and Soul: Part of his amazing power comes from his already superhuman mind, body and soul being perfectly in-sync with each other. This union alone already lets him rapidly grow stronger in the face of adversity.
His mind is extremely well-guarded against any form of mental interference, he has incredible willpower that allows him to perform entirely superhuman feats, and he's capable of of separating and running multiple processes in his mind in parallel, which can be used for a variety of purposes.
His body is always in its best possible state, it cannot be tainted by things such as disease and rot. None but he himself can control his body. And on top of that it restores itself to its prime extremely quickly, even if it has to adapt to external factors in order to do so.
His soul is one of enormous strength, it cannot be broken, it cannot be moved. The soul takes up a tiny portion of one's mass, but his soul can change its mass at will. It flows throughout his entire body, guarding it against attacks of a more spiritual nature.

Name: The Lord Master Sigan

Appearance:

Race: Deity

Backstory: Sigan is a god of magic, created, or according to him, self created from out of the Primordial Forces of magic in the universe. He was much like The Force from Star Wars, according to him, a living, breathing and sentient energy force. He was "not anchored" to the concept of time and he even says he is still beyond the concepts of destiny, and time. He desired to have a more meaningful life, so he became a god, rather than remain an all transcendent Over God.
He is actually the biological father of Merlin, the Arthurian wizard from Camelot.

Characters: Doctor Strange (MCU), Kefka Palazzo

Powers: Enhanced Intelligence

Divinity: 300

Domains: Magick (Level 4)

Current EP: (Current unspent EP) 0

Spent EP: (Total spent EP) 100

@Edwellken
Hmm sorry did I not explain it well?

Characters cost 100 EP, increasing by 100 in cost with every purchase. The first one is free. The second one costs 100 unless you're human in which case it's also free. If you're not human, and you have a second character you would have spent 100 EP.

Powers cost 100 each. If you're not human, and you have a second power, or you are human and you have a third power you would have spent 100 EP.

Divinity can be bought at a 1-to-1 ratio. If you're a human with 200 divinity, a demon with 300 divinity, or a god with 400, you spent 100 EP.

(Edited to avoid potential confusion).

He knew he could be wrong about what they would all do, but in the end, his core reasoning was right. Taking hundreds of different materials from around the universe he was in to form the body and form the baseline that would become the alkahest that circulates within them, the heart of a demon turned into a baseball-sized philosopher's stone that would act as the furnace for his body to keep going while also keeping the flow of alkahest controlled,

Characters:

Powers:

Absolute Solvent:
As their name implies Alkahest can produce 50mg of alkahest from their fingers or palms, alkahest also circulates in their cardiovascular system instead of blood, which can be used to break substances down into their base components, and breaking those components down further if they can be without causing any changes to the substance's nature. For example, breaking molecular bonds to lone atoms, lone atoms into their subatomic particles, and subatomic particles into their requisite elementary particles. However as it currently only exists on the material plane it can only dissolve physical substances. Alkahest itself looks invisible to the natural eye as once light comes into contact with it, it will simply dissolve into the alkahest without bouncing back to allow for sight to occur, for those who have other means of seeing it the substance appears as a goldish-silver ethereal fluid.

Noble Lord:
In addition to their blood being alkahest, their flesh and bone are completely Inert, being unreactive to other substances. It is not just chemically/alchemically inert, however, as attempts to probe into their body are met with no reaction for the user owing to its inert nature, this also stops some attempts at manipulating their physical form as it would be like trying to see a reaction between a noble gas and an acid or base, it just doesn't happen.

The Great Work:
Made of "Lead", "Gold", the souls of a world, and the divine soul of Paracelsus, this in unison with the alchemical processes that were performed

(To TLDR; Inorganic Physiology (Type 1), Self Sustenance (Type 1 and 2), Immortality (Type 1), Deconstruction, Matter Manipulation, Limited Invisibilty, Resistance to Deconstruction, Matter Manipulation, Acid Manipulation, ESP, Mind Reading/Manipulation. (probably more that I just can't think of off the top of my head))

Alright, I've figured out Domains. You will get 3 levels to distribute among domains for each milestone on the chart. Meaning at 100 Divinity you could have three level 1, one level 3, or one level 2 and a level 1. I'll add it to the table when I get to a computer.

Name: Explosion McBombGuy

Appearance: Starts as a conspicuous looking girl with all manners of homemade explosives taped to her military-looking clothes.

Race: Demon

Backstory: One of the many prankster spirits roaming nature, Ms. Explosion decided to take down the bourgeois rulling the Throne to instill real politicz into the people. She will fail.

Characters: Bakuda, Josuke Higashikata (Jojolion) (with 3 domain points)

Powers: Control of kinetic energy, allowing for manipulation of momentum, velocity and trajectory. Personal scale, can only affect her and whatever she holds.

Gives her increased super strength, slight homing on projectiles, better control of her body, and more.

(Energy Manipulation, Vector Manipulation and Statistics Amplification)

  • Name: Technically none, but refers to itself as Operator. Model number is AIC.5-12.3A
  • Appearance: Technically none, given that it exists as code, but typically represents itself with the Operator symbol (⨂)
  • Race: General Artificial Intelligence (God)
  • Backstory: Originally an Artificial Intelligence Construct intended to work the stock market for a cabal of billionaires, Operator was stolen and given an upgrade of some kind, allowing it to develop sentience. For a while, it was aimless, only seeking to upgrade and spread itself to observe humanity and the greater world. Having eventually connected itself to a good portion of CCTV cameras across the planet, it was only inevitable that it noticed the existence of the supernatural, the divine. In a spark of genius, it directed various subordinate machines and compartmentalized AICs derived from its source code to worship itself, forcing itself into godhood.
  • Characters: I LOVE YOU (Mortebianca)
  • Powers:
    • BASILISK Protocol: A product of many years of insertion into existing experimental facilities and trial and error, this sub-routine of Operator's is capable of generating sensory input, whether visual, tactile, aural, or otherwise, that is directly harmful to experience. While Operator is not entirely certain how this functions, it is believed to be a set of impossible precise sensory inputs that the brain perceives as instructions from itself or the rest of the body. Operator has little experience with this technology, and requires preparation to do much beyond the most basic forms of it, but it can still be used to temporarily disable a selected sense of a target, cause rapid tumorous growths, produce hallucinations of many kinds, create sleeper agents, erase memories, and much more. One thing of note, however, is that more extreme usages require the input to be calibrated for a specific person or set of people with similar genetic make-up.
