It is highly possible that human mental shielding will be somewhat ineffective against 3125 for extended periods of time. You may be able to hide from it for a while, but on it's scale... The only way Marion Wheeler survived with knowledge of it outside the chamber was using a incredibly strong memetic that would kill someone in a matter of an hour-ish.
With this in mind, it is conceivable that entities with high mental fortitude could survive temporarily. Just not for very long.
