So I was making a profile for SCP-UBU. Then I noticed this profile already existed and got a little sad.
But then I also noticed that it's kinda bad. So let's fix that.
First problem is that SCP-UBU is not SCP-001. This profile entirely conflates SCP-001 (The time machine used in the plot of the article) and SCP-UBU (The big fat monster that destroys humanity). The name of the article should just be SCP-UBU. And most mentions of SCP-001 on its profile should be removed. I don't know why this profile has Time Travel and shit in its P&A. UBU absolutely never uses 001 in any capacity. Remove Time Travel and Energy Manip, rename the profile to SCP-UBU and remove the time machine from its Techniques section.
Secondly, its AP might need to be downgraded? Somewhat? It is currently rated 6-A for fighting SCP-169. While this does technically happens, in both instances were they fight, neither side is able to deal any damage to the other for several years. The fights only ends when UBU slaps and haxes 169 into oblivion. Which doesn't scale to AP. So there is... honestly not a lot of reasons to consider that UBU would scale to 6-A. And while it does receive no damage from SCP-169, we know that UBU isn't a strict Stone Wall as it's shown the ability to harm itself. So it's relatively likely that UBU is simply too small and fast to be struck by the full 6-A attacks from 169.
Its minimum AP should be 6-B. UBU entirely ate SCP-2317, which is 6-B by size. However, it might also warrant a "Possibly" tier for Low 5-B. The funny time travel doctor man who tries to kill UBU says:
"WHILE SIMULATIONS HAVE CONFIRMED THAT THE CONSTRUCTION OF 87 BILLION BELUGA-900 UNITS WOULD BE SUFFICIENT TO DESTROY UBU, DESTRUCTION OF OUR TARGET WOULD CARRY THE IMPLICATION OF AN EVENTUAL TERMINUS TO HORRIBLE THINGS HAPPENING TO HIM. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE."
Now we don't know what BELUGA-900 does, they're only mentioned thrice. But they should be a strict upgrade to BELUGA-1, the first attempt to destroy UBU. And BELUGA-1 consists of:
"100 high-yield nuclear weapons. Heat-amplification runes copied from SCP-NSF."
Now this was done in 2588, by some guy acting entirely outside of government regulations and who really, really wants UBU dead, I think 50 megatons of TNT (Same as the Tsar Bomba) would make sense for a "high-yield nuclear weapon". A single BELUGA-1 unit would thus be 5000 megatons of TNT. If 87 billion of things superior to this thing are needed to kill UBU, then this would result in 435000000000000 megatons of TNT. Which is 1,82004e+30 joules. Just barely into Low 5-B. Now this assumes that BELUGA-900 units are explosives superior to BELUGA-1 and that they'd be used at once on UBU. But given the context, this is probably a fair-ish assumption. So by that token, Low 5-B would be a decent high-end for UBU's AP. This is somewhat consistent with UBU being implied to have survived the Moon crashing into the Earth and destroying it.
So, "At least 6-B, possibly Low 5-B" would be our new tier for the guy.
Thirdly this guy needs a speed tier. Now its speed feats aren't the best, but it does handily beat SCP-076 in their encounter. So it should scale to him at least. Superhuman with Supersonic+ reactions and combat speed.
Fourthly, some of its abilities are bad or need reworking. Acausality is probably not right. The implications of this being on the profile seems to be that the original UBU, despite the original timeline hosting it having been annihilated, lived on through its past, alternate timeline self. But I don't know if it's the case? The scan implies that UBU has been "following" Michaud, not just automatically respawning in other timelines. Since it originates from Corbenic, it's feasible it could have just fled there and then re-manifested in the timeline. Still, this one is not entirely unfeasible so idk.
However, Teleportation and BFR are both very bad. UBU did not teleport Greenland away. Dr. Michaud did this. UBU just teleported back to Earth after being BFR'd. This is just its Dimensional Travel but again. Technology Manipulation is also bad. It's probably just... UBU thrashing SCP-2000. Not some magic technology manip power.
Power Nullfication should be expanded upon a little, since it's been used to utterly annihilate 682 despite its funny immortality. Which, you know, it's kind of a big deal.
Invulnerability is bad. It's just tough, not equipped with hax that can prevent damage.
Its Regeneration should be High-Low. I was considering giving it the regen that the Rite of the Eternal Hunt gives to people, but that doesn't seem to work on it, given how long its regen takes and how normal attacks can apparently kill it.
Resistance to Explosion Manipulation and Antimatter Manipulation is bad. It's just... durable. It doesn't have special resistances to those.
And Fifthly (worship the Starfish), just lemme me make the profile nicer. Adding Techniques and Abilities, adding more explanations for some powers (such as Reality Warping, currently unexplained) and remove some of that blue. Seriously the profile is so ******* blue, it should be un-blue'd a bit.
I don't have a pre-made Sandbox like I did with SCP-079, I just got suddenly angry and decided to revise this boy. So just, let me work my magic on it. Please.
