Science Fantasy Role Play

The role play would start in present day, all characters would be some low level characters with one power set to start with, gaining more as the role play progresses. The role play would be somewhat like Chrono Trigger, with multiple time lines able to be traveled through, up to the space opera era of Humanity. There will be two Apocalypses that will happen in the role play, the first one not being avoidable, but the second one is avoidable.

However, what PCs can do is make the unavoidable Apocalypse easier to live through. Time Hax will be allowed if players can keep it low key, because it's a major part of the plot.

The major goal of the role play is to stop Master Tyranus, the all powerful warlock and Overlord from conquering the multiverse. At the start of the role play, each character has a personal reason to hate Tyranus, and The Big Good of the role play, known as the Benefactor, bestows all the PCs power to fight back.

Starting Tier for all characters is 8-A.

Appearance: He's a large Naga (if you don't know, think Medusa without the snake hair. Human torso, snake below the waist), roughly 24 feet long, 8 feet high when "standing". Snake half resembles a Green Anaconda. Human half looks mostly like a normal human male, minus the forked tongue. He's completely covered in chainmail armor at nearly all times, with a long shield and spear strapped to his back. He has short cut black hair and blue eyes. Skin is mixed between white and brown, resulting in a nearly "tan" look.

Personality: He's best described as "kind, but cold". He wants what's best for everyone, but he has no problem with doibg questionable things to get there. He'd be happy to help you achieve your dreams, but is fully willing to throw you under the bus if it helps the greater good. It doesn't always help that his idea of the "Greater Good" is to unite everyone under one banner so he can privide for them with his own intellect, rather than have pesky things like "patriotism" holding back world peace. He's a leader and thinker at heart, with a love for puzzles, mysteries, and grand tactics. Navigating cut throat politics is his idea of fun. He grew up in a warrior culture, so he's more than happy to fight, but he prefers to seek worthy opponents on the grand battlefield rather than head to head with the blade.

Reason For Fighting Tyranus: Time for backstory. From the day Magnus turned 18 he knew nothing but war. His home planet, Minervia, was engulfed in its own world war, with every sude convinced if its own inherent superiority. It was everyone against everyone, and he was in the front lines. He quickly rose through the ranks if his people both militarily and politically, using his keen mind to dispose of anyone who opposed him. For the greater good of course. At 28, he'd untied his people and planet under one banner and guided them towards the stars. The Minerva Empire quickly became a glactic superpower. His people eventually came into contact with humanity, who themselves had begun colonizing space. Cultural differences and superstition quickly led to war, much to Magnus's combined joy and frustration, for his seeers had hypothesized a much bigger threat he wushed to focus on. At 39, he conquered Earth, but his celebration was brief. His advisors had told him his army would not become strong enough to oppose Tyranus before he arrived. Instead, he sought out a way to travel accross time lines, hopping to find others like him who could oppose the coming threat. He only barely succeeds in time, escaping to another time line at the last second before Tyranus finished slaughtering his people. The deaths of everyone he loved have left him coldly determined, and he vows to avenge them and rebuild, hoping that it will help him move on.

Power Set: Poison Manipulation (via fangs and poison spear, can spit acid from his fangs for a ranged attack), Precognition (all Nagas can see into the future to varying extents, but only Seers could see to the degree of years or even centuries. Magnus can only see his opponents next immediate move, but not past that), Weapon Mastery, Has three hearts to sustain his large body, Body Control (can swallow things whole like a snake), Enhanced Senses (can smell almost everything in any given room, although strong smells like perfume can throw this off. Training and constant use under smoke have helped him mitigate this somewhat), Genius Intellect, Social Influencing, Resistance to Poison (via constant exposure during his first war), Fire (Minervian Chainmail is made of fire resistant metal), and Acid (thanks to Biochemical differences, things that are acidic to humans aren't to him).

Well, the other problem with using Oppo is his Disney version is featless and his Legends version is way too haxed (planetary mindhax gg). He's not really usable here.
