True, but that depends on which comic/media and culture your talking about. If we focus on this manga itself it could mean the author is telling us what he is thinking.

I think the main issue is that Murata will always scale the character higher than One original idea of the characters.

If that is the case, what canon are we supposed to use? Most people are more familiar with the Anime and Manga than One's webcomic. One even took a long break working on it.

It can also be said that both the Manga and Anime are a collaboration of both One and Murata. We can not weight their work better than the other since they both improve the product. We even see One adding Murata additional characters in his webcomic.
