RWBY vol 7 thread

Maybe it's an aura application? In the end it's something he can do, whether we know exactly how doesn't change much other than the explanation of what it is.

I think it's just a rule of cool thing. Or just afterimages made through his speed which is an extremely common trope.
I mean yeah but he's the only one who's done it so far so it seems like it's unique to him and not just a general "rule of cool." His speed IS referred to be higher so that could be the reason but personally I'm not sure.

I'm actually looking forward to this season since they're bringing in more writers. It would be a nice change of pace. Though, I hope it won't turn out like Rick and Morty's season 3.

This season, they have a few more new writers on the team. I forget what they used to work on but I know they're good.

Since it's just writers being added instead of writers being replaced there shouldn't be an issue like that. The consistency should remain.

The scripts for Volume 4 & 5 were only finished after the volumes premiered. Finishing early and having writers points out obvious problems should translate into better plot, animation, and dialogue.

Yeah still annoyed at the fact that Volume 5 was still being written while it was airing. Thankfully Volume 6 had finished its writing prior. Didn't know about Volume 4 having the same issue though, it didn't show.

Yeah I heard about that with Vol 8 and 9. The extra writers must have helped out a lot. Looks like maybe they'll be able to focus on ironing things out more or other things.

Who wants to see Salem use really old Grimm to come along with her in her crusade against Atlas? Not the Grimm who are big because they were already like that, but centuries or even thousands of years old Grimm. The type that could make huntsmen and hutresses soil their pants at the sight of them.

Also its confirmed jaunes semblance (aura amp) can amp him or someone else and that it can heal near fatal wounds
Was any of this ever being contested?
Actually? Looking at Kep's calc, it has a... number of issues.

For one, none of the energy removed from the air to form the ice actually.... hit the Lancer Queen in any traditional sense? It's more of just a heat resistance feat.

And there wasn't just ice in that feat as Kep's calc suggests, there was lightning and some kind of explosive dust (likely fire) that should be considered, which is what probably actually accounted for the brunt of the damage.

Like, the most you can argue is that the Lancer Queen instantly broke out of the ice, but that's kind of confounded by the ice forming right next to lightning and explosives which would otherwise instantly break it apart and melt it.

The feat should be thrown out, or at least redone.

The explosion completely engulfed the lancer
Kep didn't calculate an explosion though.

Funny enough he used the explosion's cloud to get the area of the ice, when it's not even related to the ice.
