Pokemon: God Tiers Ability Revisions

I'm honestly... not convinced. On almost any of this. Let me go through and see what I can reconcile and move out of the way.

Immeasurable Dialga: I mean't 5-D+ by "higher-D". This isn't me dropping this but it is me clarifying what I meant. Being 4-D doesn't instantly give Immeasurable.

Dream Manip: I'm fine with "Likely".

Yeah I think that's it. The other arguments hold firm or are based on Arceus being the physical avatar of a higher entity rather than Arceus just possessing a physical form, which is never implied. Not sure how much else can be added here.

Just a question Assalt and I don't mean any disrespect at all when asking it.

Did you actually read through the threads where this stuff was discussed and accepted before making this?

Well, hello! We meet again!

After we parted, I went from Oreburgh, to Hearthome, Celestic, then Eterna.

Yes, the town and cities surrounding the foot of Mt. Coronet.

Why the fascination with Mt. Coronet, you may ask?

Well Mt. Coronet happens to be called "The origin of Sinnoh."

I learned many things on my journey. Would you like to hear them?

The way I see it, our world began when the spirit within people was born.

When that spirit came to be, there followed awareness about the world.

Within the newborn spirit, time and space were intertwined as one.

People and Pokémon, too, were but the same presence.

As I understand it, people and Pokémon shared the spirit and awareness.

They should have understood and accepted each other then.

Because they shared the same spirit, people and Pokémon intermingled.

People took the place of Pokémon, and the opposite also held true.

That interpretation could give us an idea about how our world came to be.

A Pokémon is said to have shaped this world.

Could that Pokémon be the physical form of the original spirit?

Hmm... The spirit came to be, and from it, time and space were born...

That seems to point to Legendary Dialga, the Pokémon of time, and Palkia, the Pokémon of space...

And they lead back to Arceus, the Pokémon that made them arise.

Oh, there were also Plates, weren't there?

One Plate read "Three beings were born to bind time and space."

Those three beings I read to mean the three Pokémon of the lakes. It's about Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf.

The myth describes how they gave spirit to the world, shaping it.

But it all starts with Arceus, the first. It is known as the Original One.

Oh, by the way, I wrote down the words engraved on those Plates.

I summarized them in a book and donated it to this library,

There it is in that bookshelf. I'd be pleased if you'd read it.

I have to say, I'm glad I came out to Sinnoh.

I suppose I'd better be off in search of new myths in faraway lands.

It would be nice if our paths were to cross again.

@Cal

Yeah that to me just shows that Arceus IS the original spirit, and isn't some facet of a higher entity that he is reliant on.

Imo that doesn't prove anything, but I'll let others weigh in one this.

So we're just going to ignore this?

@Prof

Yes. I'm ignoring it. If there is a good reason for the current profiles' abilities, defend them here and let their validity be determined.

Assault, that is not a reason to dodge my question.

These abilities weren't suddenly just added on a whim. They were added for actual reasons from threads that you likely should have read before making this. Im not saying you calling this out is wrong, but all im asking if you read the said threads where the arguments for these abilities and the agreements came from before making this thread.

But when was I blaming anyone? That had nothing at all to do with my question.

And if it was just a matter of lacking explanations, then this wouldnt be a revision. It would be asking for justification and it would have ended well before 100 replies.

Asking for more in-depth justifications for character x's abilties is not the same thing as flat out trying to get rid of them, which the latter is whats happening here. Not blaming Assault at all obviously, but still.

Regardless, thats beside the point. My question for Assault had nothing to do with shifting blame.

It doesn't matter if they were accepted before, if they're debunked now with new arguments they get removed.

@Prof

I'm only trying to get rid of them since their profiles give absolutely zero reason for them to be present.

Even given the justification for most of these I still don't see it, however, so that isn't even the situation. For most of these powers it isn't like "they are justified, the profiles just don't say why", it is more like "some of these may or may not be justified and the profiles don't say why".

@Crop

It most certainly does matter if the "debunking" has little to it without taking into account what was brought up before to get them accepted in the first place, hence why I asked if the OP actually read the threads where they were brought up and accepted so that the debunking has more or less legitimacy to it.

@Assault

Again, thats why I asked if you read the threads or not because then it would have been simpliter to link them, go through them, and if you didnt agree, the we could have discussed it. Im not undermining you calling them out of course, but trying to debunk reasoning you didn't even know about prior to making this thread takes little stuff into account or leaves it out.

Because I assumed before that the OP actually looked it over before questioning it here in the revision thread.

That was before I asked my quesion btw incase more clarification was needed.

@Prof

If the justifications are there, they still may be questionable. Please re-present them here. Asking all of the users in this thread to go and look over multiple long threads is ridiculous if you can provide a synopsis with the knowledge you already have.

Furthermore, users shouldn't need to read multiple long threads to actually understand a profile.

Does this work to show Giratina's ability to affect the real world from the reverse world better?
Technically, anyone could do this from the Distortion World as well, as we see Zero, the primary antagonist, and even Ash affecting the real world in this way during this movie.

@Kep, Ever, @Assalt. About what you said about the abilities being unsourced, a man better than I made not one, not two, but three blogs on the subject, before Digimon made it cool no less.

@Assalt. Before we get to Arceus, Dialga is outright said to be able to freely move through time.

Now onto Arceus. First, I'm quite aware that Arceus and the Original One are the same being. If not, Arceus would have type 8 immortality, not type 9. Next, I'll admit that I'm beginning to wane on Arceus literally being the awareness inside every human and Pokemon but the entirety of Arceus being inside the physical form is something I'm not believing yet. Arceus as the spirit is Azathothing it up in an unyielding sleep and is omnipresent throughout the multiverse. In the Hall of Origin, the residence of solely Arceus, where it has absolutely no reason to take the shape of the llama, creates and decreates the body at will until caught. Arceus only takes this form to confront the player of the Azure Flute to test them. Cynthia says that A SINGLE Arceus and nothing else can enter on the Mystri Stage when every other time she just uses Arceus. And you can actually do the Sinjoh event twice, using two different Arceuses (which is mandatory) to obtain one of the Trio you didn't get (and you can't obtain one you already have), and it's not simply game mechanics as the plot has Cynthia having already returned to Sinnoh after the first event. Speaking of the Mystri Stage, it's heavily implied that Arceus in his physical form did that song and dance before in the Sinjoh Ruins, despite supposedly having been asleep in the Hall of Origin.

Pretty sure any human entering the distortion world at all is a PIS inconsistency for the sake of plot and nothing else.

Zero is an exception because he used a ship that replicated all of Giratina's powers.

See. That's the problem.

Every single argument that gets thrown your way is automatically "PIS inconsistency for the sake of plot (So, PIS because of PIS?")" because you have stuck these abilities into your mind and refuse to let them go.

And Anime Dialga moving through time is just Time Travel as opposed to immeasurable speed, considering he uses the exact same ability to teleport Ash and Brock to the past to meet Arceus and he has to create portals in order to escape from Giratina through time warping.

"Travel to a future beyond time" doesn't even make sense as a phrase (How is there a future beyond what pertains to a future?) and has no proof that Dialga isn't simply time traveling.

That site literally states Dialga manipulates time in order to travel through it. This basically kills him having Immeasurable Speed.

Traveing to a future beyond time isnt the reason Dialga became Immeasurable.

  • = "The Legendary Pokémon with the power to control time. It is said that time began moving as a result of Dialga's birth and will continue flowing as its heart beats. As he freely manipulates the flow of time, he is able to travel freely to the past and the future"
Basically states it's Time Travel and nothing more

Again, none of that is where Immeasurable Speed Dialga was agreed upon. We actually have a thread where this was talked about and it was agreed the above was time travel.

Kukui

If there were other things that make him Immeasurable

Tell us rather than just going "that's not what gives him Immeasurable".

Then why did you ''even'' link it in response to me contesting the justification if "none of that" was the reason?

If you agreed on this stuff in a previous thread, why not post those arguments here? Stop expecting us to find your sources for you, it should not be necessary to dig through old threads to understand a profile's justifications.
