I saw a video in which it was said that an official Vivre information card from Oda stated that Yamato considers herself/himself to be a cis (which I think means heterosexual) female, but that Kiku is confirmed to be transgendered. Is this accurate?

Yes, which should've been the case all along tbh. People inserted their personal politics into OP, and made up something that was never shown or hinted at. When a character is transgender, Oda makes it VERY clear, such as with Kiku and Ivankov for example.
Someone summed it up best. Yamato is only interested in assuming Oden's identity, regardless of his gender or even his species. Oden simply happened to be a dude, but if he were an attack helicopter, then that's what Yamato would claim to be. It's a matter of being Oden, not about gender.
Yamato is simply delusional and obsessed with Oden, nothing more.

This is really a touchy topic. Just like Slayer already explained. Yamato wants to be Oden. But she never actually wanted to be a "boy" in the sense if Oden was a girl she would've still continued to pretend to be "her".
She merely thought she needed to be a "guy" so she can embody her hero in the truest sense, which is the complete opposite of transgendered people (one reason may be that she's still comfortable with her body?). She's basically cosplaying as her Idol/Hero or is in a phase that's known as Chuunibyou, people used to refer to people like Yamato in the past as a Tomboy, because while she is acting like a "boy" or idolizing a Guy she's still a woman. Once she realized that she can't be Oden (for example Luffy talks some sense into her), she'll soon realize her own identify and person.

I think so too. It's going to be great development, and perhaps that'll lead to her joining the crew, since all SHs have their own dreams and desires, alongside supporting Luffy's. But her joining while carrying Oden's wishes, dreams, and regrets just wouldn't seem quite right imo. She can inherent his will though.

I also saw a video that claims that the same studio that creates the live-action Cowboy Bebop remake handles One Piece as well, and as I mentioned earlier, the main CB creator says that they are ignoring all of his attempts to make sure that the new series follows his vision, and that he is reduced to praying. Is this also accurate information?
