We don't know that for sure. We need to see how much stronger Burgess has gotten. Though Sabo has also been training a lot since then, and it seems like he fights with Dragon and the others frequently since we've seen him do so in flashbacks and what not.

That doesn't really change his status as the BBP that took the most Ls since they were introduced.
Sanji always fights the 3rd strongest, Burgess doesn't even fit that, the top 3 is Teach-Shiryu-Kuzan (in no particular order) and I'd place Lafitte above Burgess any day of the week.

If you look a couple pages back I support Sanji vs Kuzan (albeit I think he needs to get stronger before then because, cmon, it's Kuzan he's up against..), but I was just saying all this Burgess slander is crazy, y'all act like he just sat on his ass after Sabo mauled him in Dressrosa.

He's only taken “the most Ls” since he's the only dude who had a 1v1 against anyone relevant (sans Kuzan).
I don't think it's fair to judge him when most of the others literally only have Ws through jumping their targets.

Didn't Burgess, Augur and Teach get swatted away by Fake Sulong Bepo? Like, even with his DF he is still taking Ls.
But yeah, Sanji vs Kuzan would be much better than Sanji vs Burgess.

Augur and Teach are included in that so Idk why you're slandering Burgess as if the others didn't get hit
Every time he takes a L it's against strong people like Ace (YC2-YC1) and Sabo (same as Ace)

I don't even think Kuzan is gonna fight the strawhats tbf. At least not in the context of a crew vs crew fight.
By the time we get to the "final" clash between the SH and BB pirates, I'm betting he'd have either defected or been backstabbed. He's clearly got his own agenda.

He'll probably defect but the question is whether or not he'll still be a "bad" guy.

Teach takes 2x the damage from attacks and he only wins when it's off-screen.
Augur isn't even a melee guy and his opponent will probably be Usopp.
Burgess is the guy with the strength fruit, this L weighs way more on him than on the other two.
Which is fair for sure, but that's enough to place him below Lafitte, who has that one crazy feat of invading Marijoa and has been avoiding Ls the most in the entire crew.
I am not saying Burgess is trash tho, he just does not feel like a 3rd strongest like Jabra and Queen felt.

Teaching Lafitte to have actual combat feats outside of dodging Ace's attack
Remember that, despite Queen being third strongest, no fruit and no Haki Big Mom ragdolled his Zoan form in the prison.
He only "won" after sneaking her while she was looking for Oshiruko and getting lucky that she fell asleep after practically tanking that attack
I'm not slandering Queen btw (I don't think he was even close to being KOed or seriously hurt by Big Mom, he was just kind of wounded from the slams), I'm just saying he's had his clown moments like Burgess. Marco kicking him around is another example.

big mom is listed to be 2x base kaido when her justification says that she's only zoan kaido level with homies

Clown moments against BM and Marco ≠ Clown moments against Sabo and Sulong Bepo, but like, that's not even the point, Queen, King and Kaido are visibly on a higher level than everyone else on the crew, just see his interactions with Jack, Burgess doesn't have that kind of superiority between him and others in his crew that usually starts in the 3rd or 4th strongest of the crew.

IIRC the reasons he hates them, yeah you could say he hates them for no reason and just because, but I can’t help but think, maybe he was taught to hate.
Could you see a different hody moron, if he was raised by a different person and taught not to hate

Rosinante and Doflamingo kind of disproved this.
Despite his parents teaching him otherwise, Doffy was still evil and harbored hate toward everyone. Even Rosinante had no clue how he ended up that way.

I think it's a case of "my parents taught me X, the world is clearly Y", Doffy saw the worst side of humanity with his own eye(s) as a kid.
IMO, from that point onwards he would hate everyone regardless of what happened, but Trebol giving him that gun allowed him to manifest his hatred as violence against those he thought were at fault.
