One Piece General Discussion: Egghead

Things would be so much easier for Luffy, Zoro, and pretty much everyone if they remembered their good moves. Like,

-Luffy has Soru, but he never uses it. Can he only do that in G2? Why? He can use Gear 3rd in combination with other Gears, but he saves that for finishers only, and didn't open the first fight with Kaidou with 2 Gears at once. At least that might have done any damage at all. Red Hawk shows he can just make his arm... on fire, but he doesn't, because then Sanji would feel bad. He can imbue his hits with electricity sometimes, but that's inconsistent. Tankman was a fun thing that happened once and never again.

-Zoro had Shishi Sonson for like the whole series and didn't use it ever.

-Sanji has like 1 ranged attack he never uses ever.

-Usopp only uses Pop Greens like once or twice a fight now, and never uses Haki at all.

-Nami hasn't used Mirage Tempo for a while iirc.

-Chopper is trying his best, don't bully him.

-Robin is doing pretty good, actually, critical support.

-Franky is, in fact, a real one, I guess he could use more lasers? Maybe use his armor and vehicles more?

-Brook can blitz everyone and chooses not to.

-Jinbe seemed to be holding back a lot against WW.

... this reminds me of when Zaraki Kenpachi thought he cooked by using a arms to swing his blade instead of 1.

Anyone who wasn't dropped as a child would know that t avoid getting hit by haki imbued strikes, moving your body out of the way would be a good idea.

He we says that he uses Future Sight to do that, which makes it far less impressive.

I'm not sure how you can say that Yamato did better against Kaidou than 1010 Luffy when the basically the entirety of ther fight was off-screened.

And even with what we saw, I'm not sure how you can even come to that conclusion. Luffy did more damage with 2 no gear, no named, no fruit punch than Yamato could do with pretty much everything she had. Luffy made Kaidou bleed several times with each of his hits, which is something that Yamato could barely recreate when given a direct shot to his face with her strongest known attack, and he could also knock Kaidou on his back, which is something Yamato couldn't recreate throughout their entire fight with thr closest she got was hitting him above his guard on the top/back of head to knock him down.

Mind you, this is a heavily injured Luffy who was even called a "dead man walking" by Kaidou WITHOUT GEARS OR EVEN USING HIS FRUIT.

If you want to go even deeper, we can talk about how it's confirmed that 1010 Luffy fought Kaidou for at least 40 minutes, which Yamato has never shown the capabilities of doing.

If the debate is Yamato vs Base and No Fruit 1010 Luffy, then sure, although Luffy wins regardless, but if you think that Yamato even stands a chance against a Gear 2, Gear 3, Gear 3+2, or any variation of Gear 4 while ALSO using Future Sight, then yeah, any debate here wouldn't be worth my time.
