Yeah that's weird- I never noticed, but he does physically grab the flame as a reflex it seems. If it wasn't NPI his hand would just go through it.
He did say his ability effects EVERYTHING. Even "lightning and fire" according to himself. Devil fruits aren't a thing he's exclusive to, they just fall under the category of things he can negate.
Blackbeard's ability to "absorb" things isn't limited to DFs only but the fandom kinda stuck around that idea for some reason.

Someone CRT this cuz I suck, but-next to power nullification, he should have NPI via forcibly turning elementals into their "true bodies"
And it isn't limited to "devil fruit users" either. Devil fruits are just an "other" thing his ability can null.

This means he does have NPI when it comes to what his darkness can succ, since he includes things that aren't even tangible like fire/lightning or even matter like light, which is energy. He has absorption, but that's only for what he did to WB. If he does it more in the future it'll be less limited.

When he says "fire, lightning" and "even light", as well as "bullets, punches, pain" he isn't talking about devil fruits. You know... We always calc the Kaishin based on the tsunamis it caused, but- can the earthquake magnitude be found by taking into account the fact that it caused marineford's land/wall to warp to shit and out of shape and tilt nearly twice its size in seconds?

I doubt it. The highest magnitude earthquakes wouldn't do that to land, so it might just be more canonical evidence that the OP earth can handle higher magnitudes than anything.
Even if it is weaker it's worth checking tbh

No real earthquake is doing that to land. Not that fast, not to the point of warping and tilting it upwards to nearly twice its size in moments- that is far from what any real life earthquake would do.

Exactly. He's just >= one of the scabbards on average, although some of them might be higher since some of them fought Kanjuro IIRC and he fought Base Yamato.
