Plot convience, or simply just control over their power, but i seen a lot of other characters get upgraded, or get addtional abilitiy resistances for similar instances. but he still busted a universe, and reset it though.

In the weapon menu, it only shows Gram not Merodach. Because everytime Shirou sees another sword in the chapter, it would be added.
I think we also have this kind of discussion in reddit a year ago, that the translation of FSN was wonky. Because of that Das Rheingold comment when Siegfried was updated.

This Gilgamesh wank is getting out of hands I see skills in his profile that Nasu the original creator hasn't even given him and yet people has added these skills unto him as if they are his original skills. This is why I don't interact in this thread but rather read because people are always finding a way to one up their favorite characters even though it goes against what the original creator has proposed that's all.
