Most insane thing Pokemon did?

Does anyone remember how broken Psychic types in Gen 1 were?
me, mewtwo is a pain to catch, if you dont have the master ball, you should not have been using master balls on magikarps, this is your punishment for doing so

I remember they literally had to introduce Steel and Dark types in Gen 2 cause of how broken Psychic types were XD

Ice Type is not a good typing defensively. However, offensively it is pretty good and can work perfectly fine as a Dragon Slayer. Making a type like Fairies who are immune to Dragons, Super-Effective to Dragons as well is too much. And it isn't just dragons. Many Fighting Types and Dark Types were ruined as well. The only good thing is that it made Poison types and Steel types more offensively useful. Despite Steel having more resistances, an immunity and being offensively strong to one more type to dragon. Even with the "nerf" they still resist 10 types while Dragons only resist 4 typings. And are only supereffective against one typing.

Ice is a great type. Sure they have some nasty weaknesses like Rock, Steel and Fighting but they work wonders as sweepers. Super effective against both Flying and Dragon already gives them excellent coverage and great potential for doing x4 damage.

Why is Dragon type good again? Is it the Pokémon that are the types?
Because it resists 4 of the main types and like only one thing resists it.

Dragon as a typing isn't as great as people make it out, but it's still overall the most solid typing. Good resistances (though I rarely had a problem dealing with them) and until fairies, they were only really walled by Steel types. They also usually get access to water and fire moves.

Hydreigon, Zoroark, Haxorus, Weavile, etc were amazing OU Pokemon before Fairies came in and dropped them to UU...

The fact that a ten year old can just be sent into the wild with no supervision and become the latest pokemon champion while simultaniously thwarting what are at best mobsters and at worst terrorists. Even crazier in Diamond and Pearl considering that they end up battling and capturing the physical embodiements of Time and Space.

Plus the Dragon type Pokémon tend to be pretty powerful to
That's by nature of stat distribution. Nothing more. They are powerful because of stats and versatility. Nothing more.

The problem is that people would rather slap Ice Beam on any other actually good mon instead of trying to put up with the type's weaknesses and utter lack of resistances.

Ugh..now people got me started on Fairy Types. Can I ask? Why are they supereffective on Fighting Types?

ice beam is pretty OP in gen 1, it freezes the enemy, no matter how lucky you are, if the enemy is frozen, there is no way to thaw out

Then get rid of some of its weaknesses. If they can get rid of Steel resistances and Bug's weakness to Poison, they can get rid of some Ice weakness or add some resistances.

pokemon sun and moon gengar's pokedex entryes:

"Should you feel yourself attacked by a sudden chill, it is evidence of an approaching Gengar. There is no escaping it. Give up."

"It apparently wishes for a traveling companion. Since it was once human itself, it tries to create one by taking the lives of other humans."

and the entries for the mega evolution are even worst:

"Gengar's relationships are warped. It has no interest in opponents unless it perceives them as prey. "

"It tries to take the lives of anyone and everyone. It will even try to curse the Trainer who is its master!"

you could probably wish that Gen 1 Mewtwo is the strongest pokemon definitively, god, he would kick all fairy types ass in gen 1
Back in gen 1, every time I faced a Fairy Type, just had to pull out Mewtwo and bam they were dead. It didn't even take damage. Or attack! All those Fairy Types in gen 1 just vanished. They were gone so quick I couldn't even catch them. Not a single Fairy Tyoe in gen 1 was ever a threat with Mewtwo.

…I'm sorry I just had to.
