Most iconic characters for every tier

I mean... they're still pretty well known.

Also, are there any real competitors for Bill?

If we allowed them, literally anything that´s below tier 6 would be filled with it, and they don´t even classify as characters to begin with, but rather a representation of a composite version of the species, and as Composite Human was denied, then again, yeah no, they shouldn´t be in either.

Same for Bill, he isn't really iconic. I hadn't heard of him.

Banjo & Kazooie I can agree with, though.

I guess 11-A will be left open as no one in it is iconic and has its highest key at such tier.

Lastly, should I add Banjo & Kazooie then?

I say yeah, Banjo Kazooie is super notable. If a bit old.

Charizard no but I agree on the other ones

3-A: Optimus Prime (G1)
7-B: Charizard

5-A: Skeletor
Since when is Charizard 7-B?!

Second, as the list is restricted already to a single incarnation, Optimus Prime is already in another tier, unless you´re going to tell me that one is more iconic.

Lastly, I´m adding Skeletor

Meant to put 5-A for G1 Optimus. That's his base form from the original cartoon/comics.

8-A Charmander or 7-A/(6-C) Charizard is the most common known forms of Charmander

Generic Swordman #69 who has an incredibly iconic quote and is from a cult classic movie.
But many other sword users like Roronoa Zoro, Kenshin Himura, Samurai Jack, hell even Afro Samurai are better known sword fighters.

Nah. Inigo is known by pretty much everyone I know.

Yeah, Inigo is probably the most iconic swordsman I know of, next to the famous Arhturian characters I guess.

Also, Princess Bride is extremely popular book; and the movie is probably the best book to movie adaptation in terms of how faithful it is. Because the entire plot of the movie is the grandfather reading the book to his grandson, and the kid making complaints like "Is this a kissing book?" is pretty much the only major difference between the book and movie.

Can we agree, that out of all media, books are the least mainstream one?

Not saying that book characters can´t be iconic, just asking.

...007 books?

Wouldn't have gone with those. Those are movies. Don't get me wrong the character is absolutely iconic just... books?

As for books, I'd argue they have a fair amount more culturally iconic characters than any other medium in existence. If we're talking the average human being, if I named the top 100 book characters and the top 100 video game/anime characters I am fairly sure they'd recognize 10x as many from the books.

Yeah, I'm with Bambu on this. But obscure books are probably even more obscure than other obscure pieces of media so I think it's an extreme scale on both ends.

Plus he's in a movie with Andre the Giant.

Already kind of makes him well-known by association.

oh yeah no Inigo Montoya is absolutely iconic, I knew about him long before I knew about most of the other characters present and I can reference Princess Bride to practically anyone and they'll get it
