There's already a matchup with these characters, such as this thread.
Also, Mercer gasses. Unless I am mistaken and that there is more to Pride's shadows, the shadows has proven to be corporeal and can get affected by physical attacks (thus, the shadows under Pride's control should be comprised of some sort of physical matter), thus Mercer's virus would infect Pride's shadows. There's also the fact that Mercer can just either infect Pride or absorb him upon closing the distance (bypassing Pride's Regenerationn with his Absorption), therefore taking Pride out.
And from what I can see, Pride's Absorption has only shown to bypass Low-High Regenerationn. Mercer's Regenerationn is Mid-High. Mercer would likely outregenerate Pride's Absorption for this matchup. In fact, Mercer would probably even absorb Pride's shadows via touch as well.
This thread is likely a stomp in Mercer's favour.
Edit: So, I've discovered that Pride's Absorption doesn't actually bypass conventional durability or anything, as it's just a case of Pride literally eating people (which means he likely needs to defeat his targets first before eating them to even do anything). This is even more of a stomp than I've thought it was.
