Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

All of the top tiers in Metroid either aren't made of some common material (Animus has some weird magic going on, Gorea was sealed using psychic powers) or don't exist anymore by the time of Dread (Phazon doesn't exist anymore), it doesn't scale to that much. Zebes' explosion is the biggest thing since you go back there in ZM and SM and while scrunched up the architecture still remains intact.

Oh yeah, you can probably legit get another Tier 6 feat from the Zero Mission explosion via inverse square law. Don't know if anyone would scale to it pre-Dread though.

As an aside, would the Light Beam from Echoes potentially qualify as legit light? Visually it definitely looks more like an actual laser than most generic energy weapons in the series, and it never displays any wacky properties iirc.

A lot of the explosion feats and the leviathan crater got nerfed with the gravity downgrade, admittedly.

Although ig the leviathan may be planet anyway due to trucking through the LoA.

Excluding gravity stuff, Mother Brain's suicide attack from Zero Mission would be Low 6-B and the Leviathan crash would be like High 6-A in Prime 1 as well as three of them in Prime 3.

IMO NES Metroid is pretty fun if you draw a map like the manual tells you to, really feels like you're an explorer (BTW old Metroids' manuals are absolutely worth looking at, tons of cute/cool art and neat lore). Still has a lot of issues but I enjoy it. Metroid II is just straight-up good though.

A feat I’m curious about, is the 7-C feat. It’s stupidly old. I think that should be recalculated (plus not sure if samus scales to it anymore anyways since I don’t think we very much scale characters to their vehicles crashing without good reason).

We could still use Inverse Square Law and calculate the explosion that resulted from the crash.

Maybe, there would be a lot of ship in the way of that explosion to cushion and take the blast for her, but her ship is very hollow, so it could be tentative scaling to it.

It's probably best to just calc it via the kinetic energy of Samus herself, the energy of the resulting explosion would've been mostly absorbed by the ship's hull.

ISL can only be done when you know how far she was (and if there's nothing in the way) so that's not really viable. There's some other stuff for ZSS that's probably on the same level now that the gravity's gone though. The Paralyzer has an 8-C feat which is funny.

Yeah it's like, we're only using it specifically for Other M calcs (or rather, that one Other M calc), every other ZSS feat would use her 190 cm height, or I guess a few less cm since you can tell she's a little taller in the suit if you compare sprites in ZM.
