Meng Chuan's Baneful Aura is Ice Manipulation by its nature, but I'll try to explain more.

— Likely Absolute Zero & Resistance to it.
Baneful Aura will freeze things on contact. It is Absolute Coldness where everything turned still, as if the world stopped. Space seemed to freeze therefore there is no fluctuations, its extends to make blood stop flowing, freeze all particles and Essence Soul which lingered in particles. There was no heat, no light. Only Absolute Coldness. Anything contacts with it will freeze instantly then shattered and disintegrated.

He can resist Baneful Aura but he intentionally allow the aura invade his body to absorp and refine the aura thus makes him stronger.

So I think his Ice is potent enough as it can makes heat into zero as there is no heat and freeze on target particles and molecular level.
