MCU Phase 4 General Discussion Thread

It sometimes baffles me how women and POC lead franchise movies are always at a risk of getting cancelled. The financial failures of Elektra and Catwoman were excuses for studios to not make female superhero movies for over a decade.
Because they're made wrong. Nothing to do with them being women.

This will change into a padoru on December but I digress

Top 10 characters from the comics that haven't been introduced or confirmed (or leaked) for phase 4 yet that I would like to see in Phase 5:
  • Mister Sinister (Number 1)
  • Magneto
  • Sentinels
  • Wolverine
  • Knull
  • Super Skrull
  • Annihilus
  • Mister Negative
  • Hyperion
  • Mangog
Only Sinister is ranked. Honorable mention is Anti-Venom.

Yes. But former Marvel CEO wrote a long letter explaining why women don't deserve superhero movies, citing Catwoman and Elektra as reasons. Failure always come hard for them. If a Batman movie flops, will DC stop making Batman movies? No. If Wonder Woman flopped, would they have stopped making Wonder Woman movies? Very likely.

Unfortunate...

This was just stupid sexit behavior common at the time. Having movies like Supergirl (I have to thank to the Nostalgia Critic for making a video about that movie so I didn't have to watch it completely...and also for teaching me Supergirl once dated Superman and a horse but that's another thing), Elektra and Catwoman didn't help, for many (read: executives) it was just the proof female super heroes couldn't make good films. Of course, just because you add diversity to your movie doesn't mean it will be a good movie but it's a good thing more diverse casts are shown (I know this is DC but we need a John Stewart movie)

I just copped the legacy collection last week, im hyped to play mgs 2, 3, peace walker and 4 for the first time
Dude you're in for a treat trust me I had that same collection when it dropped on PS3 for the first time but I first played MGS4 on ps3 and then I got twin snakes on GameCube (which I still own) however back on track you'll have a hell of a time with that
