Captain America has a HHS feat though and the player character has a few subsonic+ to transonic bullet blocking feats

Pretty sure that it's canon, they will follow Overwatch's path that most, if not all, content will be canon.

Btw there's small lore statements in-between levels of the battlepass. They're, somewhat, accurate to their comic versions.
