Literally copy and pasted from Goku's profile: Teleportation, BFR, Dimensional Travel, Statistics Amplification.
Goku doesn't have Instantous Movement in the Frieza Saga - he learns it in the years after he defeats Frieza.

Shouldn't this be done already?
Mario's mindset, standard equipment, and whether or not this is a stomp are being put up into question because of those factors.

Also, restricted matches don't get added.

"Also, restricted matches don't get added."

Mario's power ups are actual, physical items he might or might not have at hands at any given point. So it's acceptable in this case.

Ahhh...no, it isn't?

The exception to the rule is if they changed Mario's tier.

  • It is fine to restrict abilities in a versus matchup. However, matches that are arranged this way should not be added to the character profiles, as they don't involve their full potential, and are only intended for casual entertainment. An exception would be if the restricted ability/technique has a separate tier from the main one. In this case the match can be added.
The restriction here don't do that - the power-ups just give Mario abilitie - they don't change his tier.

And according the his profile and the arguments presented in this thread, Mario has all of his power-ups and items on his person and is willing to use and any or all of them to win a match.

Which would make this match a stomp, since Goku can't deal with the plethora of hax that Mario has and is apparently willing to use.

The rule specifically talks about abilities. Weapons and abilities are different, and power ups are really just weapons.
Mario power-ups are literally just different abilities - I don't see how this rule wouldn't apply.

These aren't things inherent to Mario. He can't just will himself into becoming a certain power up (Although I guess he can for some, but not all). Mario not having a power up at any given time can actually happen. You don't need to literally power null the character in order to achieve this. It's not an outside modification just for this match.

Yeah, weapons and abilities are different. And restricting weapons and power ups should be fine, it's restricting natural abilities is what's not allowed.

Why would inherencey matter? The power-ups still give Mario his abilities which have been restricted.

Where is this rule that weapons don't count - may I ask?

"Why would inherency matter?"

One requires you to actually modify the character in a complete out-of-universe way just for a match, the other requires just the character to not have specific items at the moment of the battle. There is a world of difference between these two.

Where is the rule that forbids weapons from being removed for a match? Again, items and inherent powers are, well, inherently different.

I feel like you are arguing semantics.

An ability is an ability - whether you get it from a sword, a tanooki suit, or some magical energy inside of you.

Any ability that would be obtained from a wepaon or an item is still an ability - it coming from a different source doesn't change that.

Like if Mario had magic that turned him into Cat Mario - and said magic spell was restricted, that wouldn't be okay - but restricting the Cat Bell would be okay?

That just seems really dumb to me. It's the same shit, just acquired in a different way.
