Don’t really do vs matches much, but looking at the profiles, he has greater AP and durability than Salem, but she usually battles by summoning Shadow Hands which should both restrain him as she has greater LS with magic, as well as absorb his magic due to the properties of the hands.

Gonna wait for more input though before deciding.

Absorbing magic doesn’t really do much against Mard since his primary energy is Curse Power. He kind of just spams vines at range which will juice Salem until she says she can’t die and he uses Memento Mori to erase her.

How does it work exactly? I see Existence Erasure from it so does it erase the soul? Since that’s not assumed to be the default.

Memento Mori: Mard Geer is able to produce a dark paralytic mist around the target that envelopes them, creating a massive beam of dark spirits that reaches towards the sky. Known as the ultimate Curse and the Memory of Death, this Curse was created to destroy the immortal being Zeref as the victims of this Curse are no longer alive nor dead, but are simply erased, becoming nothing for eternity. However, to some degree, it appears that Devil Slayers have the ability to resist the effects of this Curse, however the majority of their body turns black and has the appearance being dead.

That’s why I want to know if it’s the type that erases souls otherwise it won’t work.

Memento Mori was made by Mard to kill Zeref (it doesn’t work but he didn’t know that when he made it) by erasing his concept of life and death. Genesis Zero (body and soul erasure) is an EE spell that already existed and Mard would be aware of as the user (Brain/Zero) was a fellow leader of the Balam Alliance. The fact that Memento Mori is conceptual in nature and Mard believed that it would kill Zeref where body and soul erasure wouldn’t, it should be able to work on Salem’s Low Godly.
